I'm so glad that all these animals are safe and that they are safe from the heat. Because our family were going on holiday, we trained a family friend to help take care of my three rabbits, but because it was too hot and the friend couldn't understand their signs of discomfort, two of them passed away yesterday at midnight when we were at the airport about to come home.

I feel so sorry for those animals (cows, horses, pigs etc) trapped in fields with no shade and or water source. It was made mandatory for the farmers to provide shelter yet there's still those suffering.
The animals that came from places like Kenya where it rains in April for two weeks and it’s hot dry and sunny the rest of the year and they managed quite well in the wild for thousands of years without a hosepipe 🥴🤣🤣🤣
Actually the tempatures we've been having is to the extream end of what it gets to in alot of places in the Savannah, i believe around 30 degrees is the highest it usually gets to, but is normally lower than that, the avg temp for Kenya as a whole is like 16 degrees, what makes the difference i think is the fact that it stays at a fairly warm temp thoughout the year.

Un frozen food spoils and rots, this lets the animal slowly graze in line with the temperature and entertains them.
It also gives them something to do, many zoos make the animals work a bit for food
