DIY Clap Stack made from Cheap Hi Hats

I was given these hi-hats for free so what better thing to do than completely mangle them and make a clap stack! I've always thought the clap stacks were some of the coolest cymbals since I first heard of them but I don't think I'd ever go out and buy one, so this DIY version will have to suffice!

I think different sized cymbals has a lot to do with it. I coughed up the cash for my Stack Ring 16” Versa Clap Stack and love it!

Yeah I plan on incorporating it in some future covers/playthroughs. I noticed it is relatively quiet when compared to other cymbals. May require it's own mic in a drum recording set up.
