@@hawky2k215 and the writers back tracked on it later by having phil deck him twice not to mention according to Dennis's actor they only let that happen after debating about it for ages due to being so concerned with making the golden boy phil look weak.
that's what happens when you hire writers who buy into the characters hype rather than write them as humans who win some and lose some same as everyone else.
just look at Grant's last couple of stints.
