CS:GO's Most Underrated Player Dumped Valorant for the Game He Loved

- Autimatic might be the most underrated CS:GO player in NA.
He’s got the results, the stats, and the skills to be considered one of the best players in the world.
But despite being one of the hardest-working pros to ever touch CS, somehow, autimatic lost everything, and was forced to leave the game he loves behind.
Now, after a year of struggling in Valorant, autimatic is back, looking for glory once more.
And those who didn’t give him the chance he deserved… might live to regret it.

Tim was and always will be one of my favourite CS players. so underrated, but knew it too & kept performing
True af
Tim was rated perfectly fine, he was not anything special but did his job well.
@@EtopiaCA he made it into the pro scene, being "not anything special" doesn't get you there. He played for some great orgs!
@@RynnaSZN Hes nothing special amongst the scene, of course hes special compared to the average player.
@@EtopiaCA Well he helped make history as first Major Winners with C9 in NA and played for some respectable orgs, I can agree that he may not be a prodigy or a one-trick of some sort but as a guy (myself) that can say I under-appreciated him in the past he's undeniably become a legend through hard work and dedication and imho that's special.
I played Tim in open back when he was super young and playing source. We barely squeaked out the win in OT because he dropped like 40+ on us. Glad to see the success he's had and wish him the best ❤️❤️
"CS is just home!"
-Autimatic.
Not gonna lie, Auti and Skad was mediocre at best in Valorant. It's just that different of a game and not everyone can adapt that fast. And it really doesn't help if your heart is not agreeing
Fax it may seem like an easier game, simpler in some aspects and chaotic in others but in reality the game is intended to be simpler and easier for those who are new to FPS games because of the easier mechanics of VAL, but it is actually harder than CSGO tactically which is what it matters the most, I think VAL is a well rounded game, simpler and easier in those aspects that aren't that important but harder and demanding in those that really matter
@@leeldan6574 yeah just like what league is to dota. Sure they are easy to get the hang but their ceilings are way too high. Even if you practice an agent for a long time, you may not even reach his absolute peak.
@@leeldan6574 the possibilities of combination of so many abilities of upcoming agents creates a layer of complexity unlike any, it looks kinda harder to deal with then simple csgo smokes and mollies
@@leeldan6574 I think valorant will suffer from the same problems league does currently, mainly extremely rampant power creep aka very overloaded champion kits while at the same time being quite shallow in its core mechanics meaning it's all about just learning specific champions/agents since mastering the fundamentals of the game is quite easy. Time will tell if that's a good or a bad thing.
@@Reaper13411 don't agree in terms of power creep the current best is still sage and Jett imo
I'm glad autimatic is getting the recognition he deserves. He was so insanely good and consistent. He was so unbelievably underrated and it's a shame that nobody picked him up. It seem logical that liquid or complexity would pick him up at some point during their rebuild stage but never did. It's a shame that EG isn't even giving him the necessary roles for him to pop off. Hopefully Cerq gets removed so he can start awping again
I don't think that's the best idea since auti kinda struggled while he was awping in Gen.G
Wtf do u mean, the reason auti quit cs was because of his awping hes a good awper in he fact he peak as an awper but he never seem comfortable in that role, hes the one of the most consistent na player ever as a rifler behind elige and naf
tf are you smoking? the reason why he became irrelevant was literally because he pursued awping and he was mediocre at it. His C9 entry fragging > His Mediocre awping
@@faza3798 his awping was tier 2 at best, while his rifling was definitely tier 1
Yeah like everyone else is saying this is a weird take. All you have to do is see how many clips there are of him rifling, and how many clips of him awping… it’s not even close. Not because he’s a bad awper, but because he’s a god tier rifler who can get 4 kills when other people get 1 or 2. I’m not sure how anyone who knows him from c9 days could think it’d be better for him to awp over rifle. He’s like Niko, yeah they can do it, but they’re just MADE to rifle.
I never thought I'd see the day they finally made a video about him
I feel like autimatic's performance in his valorant career was mostly due to his lack of motivation to play valorant and t1 being a very unstable team. C9 after they won the major was the same, they kept on going for roster change after roster change, and his performance dipped.
I hope he goes back to his 2017-2018 form soon.
Tim didn’t deserve to have to deal with how stew and Tarik left man.
not just tim man but also rush and skadoodle too
its like a deja vu of Kjaerbye's departure except astralis were much better without him
and its sad too that they experienced it twice man
I'm really glad to see Tim back in CS. Hope they would grab trophies later in their time as a team. I really wanted these guys to win
He seemed like one of those players who thought they were going to stomp because of their cs experience but ended up struggling. Im glad he is back at home though.
never heard of him but glad he is doin great
@@naipsiefilderussatser4067 (Correct me if I'm wrong) Known to be a CSGO Major winner back in 2018. He was part of the C9 squad that won NA's only CSGO major together with the following:
Rush
Skadoodle
Stewie2k
Tarik
I'm not even from NA and I consider that tourney to be one of the most entertaining series of games I've seen. Really great
@@terence2880 Probably my favourite major. You could write a film about that finals match.
Reminds me of hiko
@@guesswhothis Tim is far better than hiko nowadays but yeah I get your point
this guy not looking for fame. thats why he's underrated
Tim is a really good example of how even tho we meme that val and cs are the same or val is a knock-off there are a few differences between the two that can really brick wall someone from switching
I have said for many years that automatic is one of the most underrated players. He is one of the most, if not the most, consistent players in cs. He rarely has the flashy highlight clips like some of the pros, but his consistency is top notch.
His spray is brighter than my future, shame valo sprays become random
how do you announce him fragging out on a new team and then just show him fragging out on his old team lol
That's what i thought too lol
lmfao fr, i was so confused seeing him frag out on his old roster
well... they dont have any fotage of him fragging cause it didnt happen.
honestly dude we just want tarik to go pro again in val or cs
Right now hes pulling hella views though and hes a funny guy
He did say that he wants to win one more tournament (forgot which one it is) to get the trophy before he retires so there is a chance he will go back to being a pro in CS but like the first dude who commented, he's views are really high right now so I doubt he'll go back to being a pro anytime soon
I just want him back on CS. I can't even watch Valorant...it just doesn't work with my brain. That's not even me hating on the game, I just can't get into it. I miss the old Rank S days with Jason, Tarik, Ptr and the rest...glad to see Tim back in the game. Always liked him more than most other players.
@@opsoo2229 yeah cant blame him at all
For him to go back pro, the viewers needs to stop watching him LUL
Dude is a beast, his deagle is very overlooked
Love that the val switch is like the villain arc for you guys. Its so funny tho
“CS is just home” that’s hits the
Tim is my favorite cs player, I hope EG gets a little better soon! They just got wiped by Navi lol
I mean it's Navi tho, and they were playing with a stand-in. EG just need more games to gel imo, I think they've been lacking on competitive playing time, even just participate in T2 or T3 events for them to find chemistry and shake off the rust.
EG played terribly bad. That was a disaster. But a very entertaining one.
Finally an autimatic video
I hope he makes it big with EG
always been a fan of autimatic. he's a chill and nice guy and gets the job done. he's super good but he deserves better teams and teammates that wont let him down like in the past.
damn, feeling like I gotta go back and watch some SUPERSTITUM vids now
And now he’s in eg being the only one and brehze who can actually performs on tier 1 tournament. After the liquid roster rumours i’d really wish they get him but instead they left NA even though those 2 players are available and pretty solid.
Damn Tim was really going through a tough time at the start of Valorant. Looks like a completely different person
i thought it said "csgo shaved him" in the thumbnail lmao
2:44 that with with spec is Twistzz if you guys dnt knw :D
I wish old c9 will back
glad to see him in cs again omg
So happy to see him back in csgo. Like the others in the comment section, I will be cheering for him!
The fact that he got top 20 in 2018 in a dead team is insane
Let's hope EG squad gets practice in and perform better in upcoming tourni's ❤️
Aged like.....
the only thing i can say is welcome home autimatic
8:14 - Despite Major winning C9 disbanding Autimatic was popping off - *Proceeds to include clips of Autimatic playing with Major winning roster*
4:59 that dude straight up look like the real life version of randy bullet without the british accent.
you should make a video about the guard and their epic run in vct na
AUTIMATIC super underrated for sure!!! that DEAGLE round on T SIDE mirage.... LITERALLY turned around that g2 series!
Remember games are for your own fun first and foremost. That should never be forgotten.
I’ll always support players like Autimatic dude is loyal asf
Lets be real, Autimatic left valorant because he wasnt really good at it lol. He never had results. He's definitely a great CS player, but by the time Autimatic got into Valorant, the era of "CS players are the best" was over.
Yeah, VAL requires a whole lot of aspects and skills that most CSGO players dont have
@@leeldan6574 kinda a true but I think cs is a lot more fun
If you dont feel confident in what you are playing you will not perform great
@@leeldan6574 Almost every top valorant player was either a former csgo pro or at least played the game at a decent level. It will take valorant another 1-2 years I would say to truly develop some homegrown, grassroots talent. And even then it's not clear if these players will be able to compete at the highest level.
@@JuIianovic well you cant be confident too if you know you're not cut for that game..
Hopefully both games can coexist
The love criminal himself has made an appearance!
Yeah really early for this video when it is titled return of autimatic
Man the bait with always including Valorant and Csgo in titles
Entry-fraggers are always underrated due to low K/D ratios.
Tim is an absolute legend 🔥🔥🔥
Didn't know Henry Golding did esports
The reverse
Tim "Autimatic" Ta aka The Love Criminal
o cara é calvo e cabeludo ao msm tempo
EG just needs to figure it out
c9 maybe have bombed after tournament but that org gave us the best major showing ever for NA CSGO teams
gave him a haircut no 🧢
that hair going hard these days
Wait....
When did he get long silky-smooth hair?
Shoutout Dan Flowsen
autimatic can't catch a break :(
Counter strike franchise is and will remain the king of fps
No game can replace that game
It's always remains and will remain in our heart ❤️
For real
Valorant is about 10x better than csgo
@@ghostriderNsK why? give me some reason?
@@aronas7945 his reason is that there are much less cheaters and the game is a fresh start to a new FPS... LMFAo
@@jhx2321 That’s pretty much what people said to Overwatch, Fortnite, etc. Idk when but the gaming graveyard will soon be joined by Valorant.
unfortunately he could not replicate the consistency in valorant
Create a team with KennyS and Me!
After watching the recent EG games, I think that not only Tim but all the EG players are gonna switch to VaLULrant soon.
Actually..
Where is jdm & Nifty at?
Ego is unreal
i cant say he's underrated like DUDE he even got a superstitum video
LEGENDARY TIM
back when you could easily headshot on CSGO
He's lucky im here wanting to leave the game but cant cus i cant just make 2 years of progress into nothing
He couldn’t make it out of open Qualifiers
if the game is so ez as the majority of the CSGO community says why a major winner couldnt perform well KEKW (Sarcasm)
If g2 buy him i can imagine what he can do
He and RUSH are pretty much the only good thing about the current EG.
He said valorant was to hard and left
Is there any way I can get notifications only when it's Dimitri content?
TIMOTHYYY TAAAAHHH
Tim!!!
1:25 Li mi nha?
Not yet
I would've waited until they did something good for this video honestly
VALORANT is not everyone's CUP Of A Tea It's sad but thats a fact. But I love Auti ❤
NGL, never heard of him.
EG gets clapped daily
It sucks he still isn't doing well in EG right now. He just looks like he's just not having fun every time the camera pans to him, I mean how could you when every tournament you're going to you just finish dead last. I hope he gets out of EG and joins a new roster soon.
Tim would've been such a better addition to liquid instead of grim lol, or even fallen.
6:14 the fact they were down 0-2 in group = 1 more loss means they would've lost it all, but they gave it all their work they had and ending up winning the Major. NEVER JUDGE UNDERDOGS.
Ill never forget how stewie and tarik fell off after leaving c9 😭🤣
Stewie no, tarik yes
Both No wtf. Tarik blew up on twitch playing Val and stew is…. Fucking stewie2k
@@ronweasly778 oh im solely speaking of their cs careers, both did NOT find succees in pro ca after c9
@@y0Fiqqy are u smoking crack stewie literally won the intel grand slam with liquid
@@y0Fiqqy Stewie literally won the Intel grand slam with liquid after coming back to NA from mibr
isnt he back in valorant now?
Too bad EG not doing so well. Anyone think Ska and Tarik should join?
Tarik said he will never play pro again
Tarik is out already in pro. It seems he will just focus streaminh like shroud.
Lol ska? He was so done after the major win, sleepwalking in C9 for months.
Technically, he dumped his "love" CSGO, for the new and shiny Valorant, first. But that man can pick up any game and rock so ::D
best cs hairline of all time
Neat
if only he could be on a team that wasnt rubbish
This title is wrong it's meant to say: the cs go player that no cs team wanted to pick up anymore just like scream ,nothing so he went to valotrash bcz it's easier.
It's easier and yet he sucked at it.
Hell yeah, now look at him. Going 0-5 in Pro League. What a champ
what does dis mean?
Going 0-5 while top fragging for his team. He isnt winning but hes playing well
Fun Fact: T1 Spyder from the roster was actually Sayaplayer
epic
Valo is for someone who has his cs career fail like tenz
Im not a pro, just a regular guy, but for me, autimatic is the best tier 2 player, if he move up to tier one again (today he is on EG) he is just another regular player. So he is not underrated. Well atleast he won a major compare to Niko
Yeah before I thought he was defo a tier 1 star in 2018 nowadays I see him like NAF, very good at multiple roles and just overall consistent but not stand out ur amazing at anything.
I bet literally every ex cs pro playing valorant on the pro lvl would go back to cs if they get a chance to play in a pro team
Nah.. they'd switch back only if they perform poorly in valorant.
Washed CS pros switched because they couldn't keep up with the skill of top CS players.
Auti switched cause he was trash at the game. Couldn’t achieve anything.
not true in the slightest, jamppi didn't even switch back and he got offers
@@llamas3655 same scenario as tim, he went back to cs cuz he thought he was gonna dominate in val
Automatic and Jokic are the same type of player. Insane stats but not the most flashy. They carry the team but will never be the considered the GOAT since they don't make flashy plays while the stats say they are GOATS though
i feel like eg is straight up weak even tho i love this team and roster, c9 coming back to its form, not completely, but its still something that can be rebuilt, they just have to believe and work hard, they might seem weak, but theres some team that was underdog as well... oh wait ofc its cloud9 that they played in, might happen again, dont know what time will bring us
NA csgo oh no no no
