The Performance Arts exams are designed for learners who want to engage with diverse and contemporary theatre-making.
A performer/s demonstrates their skills in the imaginative and creative exploration and integration of different performance forms and materials.
These exams provide the opportunity to create performances that have personal meaning. This can range from spoken word such as comedy routines, acting or prose reading, to physical theatre such as folk and traditional dance, improvisation, puppetry or mime.
Candidates can also explore opportunities provided by recorded media, such as screening and talking about a film they have made. Furthermore, candidates can explore complementary performance skills such as costume-making, lighting, set and audio design.
