jimin's personal growth is so important to me and i'm so grateful for him being so open not only about his struggles but also about how he started to get better. it really means the world to me that he decided to be vulnerable and trusted us like that
So Jonathan, I don't think letting go of the past really requires you to let go of all the things that make you, you, but it's rather letting go of the pain that is attached to those memories, the pain and mental hold it has on your psyche. However, I completely understand where you're coming from looking at our situation being in our early 20s and wanting to fully appreciate the HYYH era specifically. It has such a heavy impact on this fandom for a reason, and right now, all the strength and determination but also desperation and sorrow of those songs are being reflected in my everyday and it just goes to show that not only is Bangtan's music timeless and inspiring, but their stories are reflected universally. That type of solidarity, or feeling of being understood and seen is what continues to drive me forward in life because I know eventually that my dream and my path to healing will be complete and I'll know I've succeeded then. I hope the same can happen for you, too 💜
Minwoo (from my entirely surface level knowledge) seems like a genuinely good guy, this was a tv show appearance where he was brought on to sort of have a mentoring style role for Jungkook, and having the chance to talk about finding longevity in the industry and keeping the band together during hard times seemed to have been something Jungkook truly valued. It seems they're still friendly and there's been a couple of selcas and screen shots of cute text conversations over the years, Minwoo even did a dance cover of Seven and the caption was "My Jungkookie, the Worldstar" which is just plain cute. I think Minwoo might have just been a little bit awkward meeting Jungkook at first, likely because I think he was literally twice his age in this clip so it might have taken a minute to figure out how he was going to interact with him and how Jungkook was going to respond to things- Kookie was only 18-19, and even at 27 I feel like I never know how an 18-year-old is going to respond to a deep and meaningful conversation, it so depends on the personality and they'd never met before, let alone how Minwoo would have felt at 36 (if my math is right, he's 44 now soooo)- that might explain the vibe you got. Edit: Oops, kept going and you clocked the same reason 😂
Side note: Baepsae is one of those words that translators have not consistently agreed on how to translate, so it routinely gets written as Baepsae, Crow-tit, Silver Spoon, Try-Hard etc. There are other songs that this happen to, such as Rise of Bangtan also getting called Attack on Bangtan, and for some reason 2nd Grade seems to have been called So 4 More on some streaming platforms, which is bizarre because that's an entirely different song?
Silver Spoon seems to be the accepted English album title these days, at least. I think the Japanese title of "Rise" is supposed to mirror "Attack on Titan," so you get the "Attack" showing up from there. Why "Second Grade" - a song the members still called that, last I checked - got changed is ??? Like your said, it's a completely different song!
@@britanniadix5580 I looked it up and apparently this happen on the DVD’s too? So people think it might have actually been renamed to be a little more appropriate for English audiences, being a pun on “sophomore” but IDK how accurate that is

HYYH was such a huge huge turning point to Bangtan's career. it's really started their meteoric rise to stardom, most especially in US/Europe. They were topping charts everywhere, and the HYYH concert world tour was one of the best setlist of all time. They were doing it with live band too. Little extra info on the Seven Year Curse: in the K-pop industry, it eventually became a standard that contracts could only last for a maximum of seven years before having to be renewed (this was due to government regulations that came in due to massively exploitative contracts that lasted for 15+ years). A vast majority of K-pop groups, given hundreds debut every year, were not making enough money to reach the end of the seven-year contract, but if you did make it that far, that was when a lot of K-pop groups started to disband due to a large variety of issues. Some idols join K-pop groups to use it as a stepping stone for another career, whether it's as a solo artist, or to go into acting or musicals etc. Some idols decide that the idol life is just not what they want anymore and prefer to have a quieter life, so they use the seven-year contract end as the perfect timing to retire from the industry and go on to live normal lives, settling down with standard jobs and families etc. Others may decide they feel more comfortable in more behind-the-scenes work and go into running their own company or become choreographers, producers, directors etc. These are generally considered sad for the fans, but overall not the end of the world, and often even if a few members leave, the groups often continue on without the missing members, this is especially common for big groups in which only a few members were particularly popular. But the seven-year curse is often when you start finding out some MASSIVE behind-the-scenes drama that no one outside of the company had any idea about. This is when you start finding out about unfair contracts designed to ensure the artist was in debt to the company no matter how much money was being made, abusive staff members, bullying within the group, complete and utter lack of creative control, company denying the members solo opportunities, ripping up song lyrics the members had written etc. Idols in these situations often leave the company and make quite a big scene as they do it, sometimes groups leave the agency together- like Got7 and Shinwha (who apparently left due to SM trying to offer renewal contracts to all but ONE of the members, to which the members all collectively said "fuck you" to and signed with a different company, and in retaliation, SM spent the next TWELVE YEARS in a legal battle with the members of their right to use their own name. They also basically gave artists no creative control (SM artists weren't allowed to write their own music at the time, although this has since changed) and allegedly their profit distribution is that 90% goes to the company and only 10% gets split between the members)- or in some cases the groups split up badly, leaving some members still with the company, and the others pursuing things on their own. Other times, the seven-year curse happens not because of the group members' wishes, but because the company decides they're done with the group. During contract negotiations, established artists have more leeway to negotiate for higher pay, better conditions and more creative control- some kpop companies will decide that either the group is past their peek and there's no reason to keep sinking more money into them, or that the group is ultimately replaceable and they can just start a new group instead who won't have the same leverage over them. Consider CLC, 2ne1 etc. The seven year curse is being broken more and more frequently, partially because conditions for idols have largely gotten better and the unfortunately accurately named slave contracts that used to litter the industry are becoming less common (although there are definitely still attempts, I feel so bad for Loona)- this may be because of better government regulations, or because idols being treated badly have more resources to have attention drawn to issues with the company early through social media, like what happened with Omega X- who were able to escape their company and continue as idols together after video footage leaked of the members being physically and verbal assaulted by their CEO. BTS were definitely one of the biggest names to break the seven-year curse, going out of their way to sign a new contract two years early to ensure the group would be continuing together and in the best conditions possible (Boracity had a video on the contract re-signing which is always fun to watch). Other groups that have broken the curse include Seventeen and Twice with all members re-signing with the same label, while other groups have broken the curse in more unorthodox ways like Mamamoo who have continued as a group despite two members having signed contracts for their solo work with other agencies, and Blackpink whose members have all left their original company for their solo careers, but have signed a contract to remain under YG for group projects. ...I didn't mean to write a full essay but WELP
It's a super appreciated essay! The seven-year curse is something that's very well known in KPop circles, but exactly why/what it means is often left blank. So getting a long and varied explanation like this is awesome - thank you for taking the time and energy to write it 😊

It's not about letting go of everything in the past, because you're right, the present you is going to be always connected to you in the past... Remember this: "I am who I am today, with all my faults. Tomorrow I might be a tiny bit wiser, and that’s me, too. These faults and mistakes are what I am, making up the brightest stars in the constellation of my life. I have come to love myself for who I WAS, who I AM, and who I hope to become." - Kim Namjoon, speech in the ONU for the Love Yourself UNICEF campaign💜 That's the point, letting go of regrets and pain is what's important to love yourself, you can't be always mad/sad/regretful about your past, because there's a present and you're living that... Literally a present 🎁 to try, to dream, to live, to love, everything is a new opportunity, day by day, because the day start again at 00:00 and you have a new day to live🤍 That's when the present meets future and everything goes ^^

So getting a long and varied explanation like this is awesome - thank you for taking the time and energy to write it 😊
"If things is tough... just stay" why are you making me want to cry? man, i felt that. the way you said that, i felt it. thank you
you too, mr tribe leader sir, please stay

57:43 this clip - it's actually the fastes we've ever heard any BTS member rap, and he did it so casually.
1:05:00 bro i thought i loved the BTS Cyphers until i remembered Taehyung existed🤣😭
literally NOBODY loves it more than him lmaoooo 😭i dont blame him cuz they SLAPPPP💯
One of my favorite things about this community is how vulnerable we can be here, so thanks for trusting us too Tribe leader
them being open about their struggles has helped me so much, and made me put words on some of the things i needed to deal with.. i hope they can do the same for you!
i think what we need to take from yoongi's words is not to choose between pursuing success and fixing yourself, but rather to not forget yourself while chasing your dreams. the key, as in all things, is measure and doing things for the right reasons, and above all loving yourself as you are 💜
4:41 those are so good, they remind me of ritz
What a roller coaster of emotions
I haven't been feeling well today but I have something to watch before sleep 😭🫶🏾

Tribe leader we are with you 💜
Take care of yourself
It's not about letting go of everything in the past, because you're right, the present you is going to be always connected to you in the past... Remember this:
"I am who I am today, with all my faults. Tomorrow I might be a tiny bit wiser, and that’s me, too. These faults and mistakes are what I am, making up the brightest stars in the constellation of my life.
I have come to love myself for who I WAS, who I AM, and who I hope to become." - Kim Namjoon, speech in the ONU for the Love Yourself UNICEF campaign💜
That's the point, letting go of regrets and pain is what's important to love yourself, you can't be always mad/sad/regretful about your past, because there's a present and you're living that... Literally a present 🎁 to try, to dream, to live, to love, everything is a new opportunity, day by day, because the day start again at 00:00 and you have a new day to live🤍 That's when the present meets future and everything goes ^^
I'm crying
I like calling you Tribe Leader😊

Jin rap God! XD
57:34 that's Jins favorite rap song, you should listen to the original (MV and live?) and then a compilation with Jin singing it xD
20s is a difficult time for a lot of us. We’re kind of caught in a limbo of what we need to do and what we want to do. The transition from childhood to adulthood. As what they said: Growing is uncomfortable. If you’re not uncomfortable, it means you’re not growing. I feel how you feel right now Jonathan. I’m 30 now and all I did in my 20s is grind hard. I will continue to work hard in my 30s but I will also take care of myself and try to balance things out. HYYH/WINGS era is perfect for you. You will learn a lot from their songs and overall theme. You will also feel comforted. 💜
Lets gooo tribe💜
What K-Drama should you watch next? 100% Strong Girl Bong-soon, ISTG it's the best- chaos, comedy, an actually compelling romantic plotline AND they've got a full-on crime mystery/thriller as the b-plot, it's PERFECT for you Tribe Leader
This made my week. I laughed so much 😂😂😂
please watch The Glory!! or even just missmangobutt’s storytelling of it pleaseeeeee 😭😭
You will have to listen to Jin rap that same rap by Loner that JK did. Jin is really really great at it. It's Jin's fave rap song. Even the rapline particularly Yoongi and Namjoon were very impressed because it is a super fast rap song. Haha
53:07 she's just like me fr😂😂😂
I highly recommend The Glory or Moving! Such good dramas
Everytime I think of something watching a vid w u u point it out a sec later
I felt the same way about Minwoo, I think it it was the way from the start he didn’t thank jk for the drink or anything…
Chill. Watch the entire episode of Celebrity Bromance with both of them before judging. Minwoo and Jk are on good terms. End of discussion.

45:29 LMAOOOOOO and right after u asked that namjoon answered ur question saying, "You might DIE dancing this"😭😭
If that aint enough to tell you ur SCREWED, then idk what will 😂
Wait omg same?? Like idk the vibes of that minwoo meeting were weird AND I DONT KNOW WHY 😭 I DONT MEAN BADLY
4:28 "ducks" is kinda crazy broski- 😭😭😭😭
You watch BTS cover of Shinhwa song Perfect Man. Minwoo is the baby of his group just like JK is in BTS. Minwoo is the more friendly, impish guy whose the best dancer in his group. I first got into Kpop in th the 2000 and saw him back when Xmen and Love Letter variety shows were on its prime. The dissing game "Of Course" originated from Xmen and it's still being played today. 😊
2:01 lol please checkout V's dream came true cypher by V (bangtan bomb)
For your first K-Drama, why not Hwarang? 👀
It's the only drama that V has been in and is a must watch for all ARMY. 😊
1:09:20 THE REALISATION
I personally dont care for shinhwa for certain reasons but they're not demons lol
Hiiiii 💜💜 I miss youuuu 🤸🏻♀️🤸🏻♀️

I’m crying and really trying to focus at 28:11 but hobi is just moving his hips like damn pls you’re confusing me 😅
42:31 Loui, this section with bts on running man is so funny, here's the full clip if you want to watch it. 😂
ayyyy first
48:38 maybe youre the face of the tribe, like a spokesperson
FIRST LESGOOO
hiiiii
Ok so gonna ask straight out since I’m impatient but can you react to RUN BTS Episodes 118-119 please. Oh and episodes 86-88. Ok I’m done. 😉
0:24 I gotta go to the market…. But I don’t wanna move, you just posted 😅
I’m sorry but americano sucks, basically watered down espresso, don’t understand the obsession with it
When he asked how it tastes, I out and out said "Horrible" to the screen. My best friend and I have long held that they're just a terrible drink. Korean folks seem to really like them, though, so maybe I just need to try it iced? (Bleeeeh)
