One thing I learned the hard way. If you're near drywall, don't turn the wheel into the drywall because it'll go right through it like butter. I couldn't believe it when I did it.
Thanks for watching our channel. At exactly 4:15 into the video, you will find the answer to your question. Basically, on the end of the scissor lift, under the ladder, there is a receptacle where you can plug in an extension cord that will send power to the receptacle on the platform. Check out the video again, and it will show you where to find it.
Any advice on raising the basket to access the hydraulic cylinder? Seals blew out and won’t lift. Floor jacks on the cross members? Fork lift? Winch it up on cherry picker? Just curious before I break something 😁
Thanks for watching our video. First we must emphasize that OSHA mandates that only properly trained personnel are allowed to use an aerial lift. Aerial lift operator training protocol tells us that only a qualified service technician may make repairs to any scissor lift, boom lift or vertical mast lift. Unless you have been specifically trained as a qualified service technician, this repair should not be performed by you. We highly recommend you contact your nearest authorized Skyjack dealer to find the repair facility in your area. Hello, i'm interested in buying 2 of these sky jacks. To what should i pay attention when inspecting the platform??? Can the working hour's be manipulated somehow like mileage on cars? Is there a way to be searthan that the batteries are ok, and finaly how to properly inspect atuomatics on the machine.Thank you.
Thanks for checking out our video. When inspecting the platform every operator should begin by accessing the operator's manual for the specific make and model of aerial lift. Look for the Pre-Operation check list. This will give you what to look for specifically regarding the physical condition of the machine. When inspecting the platform, I would look for overall platform condition, condition of guard rails , decal condition, controller condition and entry gate or chain condition. Although it is possible for someone to disconnect the hour meter on a machine, most reputable dealers would never touch it. Properly maintained batteries should last about 5 years, so look for a date on the batteries. If batteries are not dated, we recommend using a hydrometer to check battery charge. To inspect machine functions, such as drive, lift, and steering, including automatic safety devices such as tilt alarms, reference the operator's manual and look for the Function Test check list for a comprehensive list of everything that an operator needs to test on the machine prior to use. Hope this was helpful. Good luck!
Thanks for watching our channel. Based on your description, we believe it is possible that there is an issue with a limit switch on your Skyjack SJ3219. This is an issue that only a qualified aerial lift service technician is authorized to repair. We highly recommend that you contact an authorized Skyjack dealer in your area to get this issue resolved. I bought a skyjack 3219 and it only rises to about 9 ft. I topped off the dexron III but it did not fix the problem. Any suggestions?

Thanks
you do shout though
How long would it take to lower and raise the rails (in case the platform is too hight to pass doorway) ?
The Skyjack SJIII3219 was engineered to pass through virtually every standard doorway with no need to lower guardrails.
It can go through doorways no problem but watch your head!!
