I have to admit. When Taylor was brought onto the podcast I thought he lacked charisma, personality and he would go for what seemed like tens of minutes at a time simply not contributing much if anything. I've not watched the show for a good while and having started watching it again he's brilliant. He's intelligent, interesting and charismatic. Great stories, accents. Really fun. From thinking wtf is this guy on here to now believing he's the real spark. They're very lucky to have him. I've done a complete 180 with him. Really came into his own.

I am a Christian but I dont believe in God because I fear of hell. I believed because I was in a low place and it seem like God was the only thing that could get me out. (Didn't believe anyone truly cared about me to the point that they would die for me, didn't have any self worth and the world felt like it was better without me in it.) God gave me Jesus to die for me and to take on the conquences of my poor decisions and he loved me so much that he would do it again if he had to. (Then he kept loving me and helped me grow into a self reliant, confident, loving person.) He showed me who he was through reading the Bible, watching videos about the history of it, sermons, and literal spoke to me (like a gental whisper that you could argue that it was just all in my head.) I didn't became a Christian because of hell but because I was already dead (metaphorically.) So I hope yall get to know God more and try to come with a fresh mind (everytime I lose my previous understanding of the Bible and God, I learn something new and life changing everytime.)
Great retelling of this Bible story too, pretty funny and accurate. Also if anyone got questions, I can try to answer them to the best of my abilities but some great UA-cam vids on them are from guys like ravi zacria and cross examination.

Kyle’s 100% on point with the comparison to David in the lions den. This story and the lion den are both about unwavering faith and commitment to god in the face of adversity, that even though it would be easier to back down and lie, that staying true to your convictions is what is important.
Take out the references to god and it becomes a story with the moral of staying true to yourself even when it might seem easier to change to try to fit in with the crowd.

What about the story of the Canaanite woman where Jesus & his disciples refused to feed a homeless Canaanite, saying "I'd rather feed my scraps to a dog before I would someone from the land of Canaan."
Canaan was the land given to the descendants of Cane, from the book of Genesis.
In the book of Genesis it says God cast Cane to the land of Kush, which is what we now call Mesopotamia.
Or, central/east Africa. This area is the longest recorded place of not only human records, but also black african history.
... Sooo.. Essentially... Does Jesus hate blacks?
    Lol

I think that was just Jesus testing the woman or something. He actually loves Canaan because every other Israelan states hates and shuns them

Check out Astrotheology if you want to understand the stories. It answers why the stories seem ridiculous. The characters are personifications of constellations moving across the sky at that time.

So just a heads up, a "Satrap" is just the word for the Classical Antiquity equivalent of the Medieval "Vassal Kingdom". So in Medieval times, the rulers of these "Vassal States/Kingdoms" were themselves called "Vassals", like the actual Baron/Count/Duke/etc.
In Classical Antiquity (Ancient Rome, Ancient Greece, basically anything in from before 0 A.D.) these vassal states were called "Satrapies" and the ruler of the "Satrapy" was known as a "Satrap". A great example would be Alexander The Great's Macedonian Empire that stretched all the way from Greece to India, everywhere that wasn't directly under his, Alexander's, control were being governed by Satraps, usually his most trusted Generals, hence the whole "Successor Kingdoms/Successor Wars" after he died in Babylon from his wounds in battle in India without a designated Heir.
Also, all those instruments are real, but i'm surprised by the inclusion of the Zither since those are most commonly associated with China, like ancient China all the way through the 3 Kingdoms period and right up to today.
