This the first interview I ever heard Mary j talk about the truth of her relationship with k-ci...I didn't know they were engaged ...but I knew he was violent /abusive towards her and she took it..I thought Tina took alot from Ike...but Mary j suffered alot from K-ci...and I liked him as far as a singer in jodeci...he disappointed me as a man ...I'm glad she moved on and never looked back....you are a strong ..very strong woman Mary j...i love u alot Mary j...cause u are the voice ...for women for us women who also experienced bad relationship who deals with abusive men who disrespect women by over powering them with their fist....I have a name for that C O W A R D S....

I remember seeing both interviews live in the 1990s and my university friend and I are we’re taking about how he just publicly humiliated her. It was just so embarrassing for her but just horrible and unnecessary to disrespect her like that. That’s what happens to these men. I wanted them together, what a beautiful healthy and talented child they would've made. He just was in a whole nother space and time. He wasnt ready, but now i think he may have regretted saying that. I think now, he wishes he couldve been with her. Or at least made better decisions in regards to his relationship to her.

They were still growing up and exploring and when your young and think your in love nobody can tell you anything. Mrbezals Mary actually was doing drugs before that relationship even took place. She started mixing drugs during the relationship. Mary has been through a lot as a person And a woman. She was molested and her father abandoned her and her siblings, then she dropped out of school and shortly after began her career. She has admitted to all these things, this is what she portrays in her music. She has been hurt abandoned, used and abused. But no one made her "snort" anything
