I discovered doll making when I was visiting family in Renton, Washington. We went to a shopping mall where the now closed quilt store Pieces was located. I dashed in for a few minutes and bought the elinor peace bailey pattern, Retro Guardian Angel. I made the small one.

So I just got a sewing machine and I can stitch straight lines but I'm really having trouble with curved lines... and considering I have cerebral palsy, it's not very easy to maneuver the fabric where I want while stitching so it stitches the right place, help!... do you stitch doll parts with a sewing machine? If not, how do you stitch the fabric by hand so that the seams are really really tight??
About to begin my first Fairy House and have a quick question. Re: the door--when it say "position 'door' piece as shown and stitch around pattern piece" how far outside the pattern piece should I cut? There aren't any other line other then the stitching line. Thank you for contacting us. Julie's Fairy House is a great design and very popular. In the text she said to leave a 1/4" seam allowance. So cut about 1/4" out from the stitching. hi so I wanted to ask about your doll fabric... I recently bought the 'pale peach-light skin de witte engel doll skin jersey' from a different website and I was wondering if I should use dark nude lycra or light nude lycra for the face? Pls answer soon! I want to get the materials ordered before school starts!
Thank you for your question. The light nude is the closest but does not match the DWE Pale Skin fabric perfectly. The Lycra does not have the pink tinge. It is more of a cream/ecru color. We also currently only have light nude in stock. Hope this helps.

@@angelartamesia2 The doll in the video may of been a cotton doll. The Doll Jersey in itself has a lot of stretch and should work the same way.
