I have to have my PS5 horizontally and that stand that comes with it is a piece of crap. Whomever came up with this design needs to get kicked in the dick
It was never supposed to move the way you showed in your video. You twist the stand so the compartment you removed the anchor screw from is closed not open to use it in horizontal mode. I have used mine in horizontal position since I bought mine and it stays station without the movement shown on the video. But that 3rd party does look very nice .
Made me think of a cool idea for replacement cover plates. Instead of plates you could make the side plates into thicker, more decrotive and articulated covers, where the bootom side one also functions as a stand. You could change the entire console look and feel, make it look like anything you want
Just put this on today and yeah it's pretty much on the money. There is the issue like he says in the video where if you move it, the foot does sometimes come off. However, since the stands clip to the sides and not the back, putting it back on is easy. After owning my ps5 for two months now, the stand the ps5 comes with was extremely annoying horizontal (vertical is fine) and I don't have enough space in my current entertainment center to put it vertical so this is a must have.
Jordan I found your review so refreshing! I appreciate your humor and getting straight to the point for this amazing accessory. I had to pause your video, only so I could follow your Amazon link and make the purchase. Keep up the good work, brother :)
I'm not paying $25.00 for a stupid stand. The PS5 is expensive enough not including $70.00 games plus TAX and $75.00 for another controller. Economy inflation
I received this stand from amazon yesterday and wow what a difference. This stand rocks!A must have for any PS5 owner that is looking for a brilliant horizontal stand. Thanks for the great video.Cheers!Ipega also makes this stand and it is brilliant and very similar as well.
Went and looked at this on Amazon. I'm sure, by your video, this works miles better than sonys stand, but I changed the option to black and scrolled the pictures and one is just silly how they made the ps5 look on the original stand. The front and back of the system dip down way further than it really does. If you look at the next picture on the new stand it's much more level. Why do they feel the need to do that? Their stand is obviously better.
When I got mine, there wasn’t a black one. I’m not really sure about vibration issues but this stand keeps it floating so the PS5 doesn’t actually touch anything.
I have the model 1200 series and it locks and I have it horizontal because of the liquid metal ooze issue. I figure it this way....A laptop has no cooling fan for cpu just like the ps5....so you wouldnt use a laptop vertical to work right? same with the ps5..the ps4...3..2 and original were all horizontal..only gripe I have is why in the world would the have an onboad harddrive on mother board and not like the previous ones...seperate . they need to see if they can make a patch to utilize the harddrive m.2 expansion to be a backup harddrive if the onboard one goes out..otherwise you have a paper weight console
The person that originally reported the leaking made a response video saying that the issue only occurs if you remove the processor cover and reinstall it. Other than that, leaking doesn’t occur naturally. Additionally, the PS5, like the PS4 and PS3, have a massive fan in there. Additionally, all my laptops have fans in them. In fact, my 2022 MacBook Pro has 2 fans. All that matters is you don’t block the ventilation on the device. You can use a laptop upside down if you wanted too.
@@PunchNpie yeah this is like the first video that pops up about these stands so Good job being straight to the point in showing them. “The littlest bit of movement...” Why are you touching it? I put mine sideways and into the entertainment stand. Done. Disc in, disc out. No movement. USB-C controller charging dock. No real reason to touch it. 🤷♂️ it’s not perfect but also, not that stupid.
I guess you missed the part of the story where I explain that the kids touch it and slides all over the place. I would press the eject button and it would slide all over the place. You may have a stand that holds tight but mine didn't at all. you could breath on it and it would come off the stand. It is possible that your experience is just anecdotal and not the common experience? Here is the question, when did you get your PS5? Lol, are you talking to me?
This reminds me of a infomercial, or the youtube video you think it's hard try being white lol.
This guy just over exaggerate things. I have a PS5 and never had any issues with the stand. Maybe sometimes if you move, you can have issues but you can’t call it a crap.
Lol this guy… like I don’t actually exist in the real world. I’m not exaggerating anything, the stand is awful and you making excuses for it makes 0 sense.

An entire subreddit of people having the same issues but I exaggerated.
The stock pedestal is garbage if you keep your console horizontally. Even plugging/unplugging things into the USB port is problematic.
Thank you!!!
The horizontal stand sucks ass. Barely move the system and it slides right off and mine's tabs have started to snap loose. Grabbing one of these.
Useless design from a useless company. I superglued my stand to the console to permanently alleviate this issue.
🤓
Well that seems a bit excessive
useless company you say but you still support them with a purchase interesting.
@@merc247 There are many useless things (and people) in life that still enjoy support from people useless and useful alike.
Was this a back handed compliment… 🫤
I was searching for a better horizontal stand than the one Sony provided.
Too bad I've already replaced the face plates with the rounded collar dbrand version, so this won't work for me.
The stand is good as is!
Cheap to make and innovative.
Have none of those problems.
And yes vertically will hurt your apu in long run.
Just simple logic...
(Liquid metal+gravity= trouble)
