Stuart, We just spent a day on the Vedder River in the Fraser River valley of BC and I used your big, soft vertical sweep. It really moves line, especially with heavy sink tips. There is only one problem with this movement. It really puts a lot of pressure on your right shoulder. I have done hundreds of conventional double spey casts and never had a joint problem but your version really hurt my right shoulder..
