It does sound better. I don’t know if it’s your recording of the video but I could still hear it struggling. Any speaker sounds good until you put it up against another speaker. Maybe it’s just a room you’re in because it is Omni directional. But great video. Keep up the good work.
Thank you and honestly it maybe struggling a tiny bit but really lucky doesn't distort anymore not how it used to anyways which is a big improvement, also Ya it might be my room since like you said it's omnidirectional sound
Thanks for the vid. Did the firmware update come with any release notes from UE addressing the specifics of the cause of the distortion or the fix that removed it?
Interesting. There are so many reviews from respectable tech review sources I’ve looked to for reviews for years that say the Epicboom sounds absolutely great (but that note the price and lack of connectivity are downsides). Then there seem to be twice as many review videos on UA-cam slamming the speaker because the bass is pathetic and that it sounds horribly distorted at 100%. Personally, I’ve never felt the need or desire to play any speaker I’ve ever owned above 75%, although I respect the decisions of others to push their speakers to the max, expecting the speaker to be able to sound good all the way to the top. Shopping for speakers without listening to them in person can be extremely challenging. Everyone has their signature sound they are looking for. Look no further than Bose. Some love the sound. Ten times as many don’t. The music I listen to is not extremely bass heavy-I don’t listen to rap or hip-hop. I prefer rock and alternative. Those genres have bass and deep bass too, but it is not as prominently figured or frequent. When I hear someone slamming a speaker like Epicboom because it’s bass doesn’t sound good above 60%, I need to take into account the fact that a rap or hip-hop song is the current test track and I have to try and imagine what one of my songs would sound like at that volume level, haha. Anyway, I’m obviously not an expert, just a consumer trying to navigate the blue waters of Bluetooth speakers. @@Jagistreviews
@whatnotwhatnotwhat ya honestly it sounded ok before the update but you still had to equalize it so it didn't distort, however now that it's been updated it has a lot more bass and doesn't distort at all so they definitely fixed the problem with it, it's for sure probably close to equal with the jbl extreme 2 and 3 just in its own ways, I love it and love he 360 music, but maybe go to best buy and try it out for yourself
So just double checking, you’ve found the bass distortion to now be completely gone? This was the biggest turn off for me previously when checking this one out. The form factor of the Epicboom along with the overall design is really what’s selling me, it’s not too bulky and it just looks sick, especially in white. I know not to expect best in class sound from UE just from using some of their previous models in the past. (The Boom 3 and Megaboom 3 are a complete joke for the money) but I actually enjoyed the sound I got from the Hyperboom! If this one plays pretty clean now after the update then I’ll definitely need to pick one up.
Ya I'm not getting any distortion anymore at all with mine with the new update and it actually sounds more bassy now to, I'm loving it a ton and especially now that they fixed the distortion problem
@ExtraEcclesiamNullaSalus I think it sounds way good and even better now that it got that firmware update, it basically has no distorting and great bass and the form factor is top notch for me, for some reason none of the other reviewers know how to use the eq app for ultimate ears or something lol
I've only owned the encore and the partybox 100, if your looking for a bit louder and punchy strong bass go with the partybox 110, if your looking for almost as loud but a lower more robust bass I'd go for three encore anyway, honestly the encore is one of my most favorite speakers to date, it's more compact than the 110 is almost as loud and has a lower more robust bass
@@Jagistreviews sure bro, my problem with 110 is focusing upper bass, which sounds bit boommy, but encore has deeper bass. So i think that encore sounds better till 60-65 level volume, but on higher volume 110 sounds better because it has more power. But not sure, thats why i asked you to do a comparison. I am not a fan of boommy bass.
@@mukharroy1775 100 percent go with the encore then, it's amazing at that low bass that your looking for and a million times easier to transport and take with you
How on Earth do you update the fireware for a UE product? I've got a Megaboom 3. Can't even find any info on their site about whether the fireware version I currently have is the most recent.
The song you were playing at 2:14 sounds familiar and I know who made but I can't remember the name of it 🤯🤯🤯can you help me bro Edit: do you think they will update the hyperbooms software even though it sounds good stock
@@JagistreviewsI honestly don't think the hyberboom 2 will be that much of an upgrade, but if you get your hands on it and make a review I'll definitely check it out.

No notes that I saw or reasonings why the distortion was happening

oh perfect
Much much better tbh
Bro please do a encore vs 110 , super confused between these two. Would love to hear your opinion, anyway thanks

This is why I hate the UE speakers you always have to EQ it to let it sound well
Most speakers come with the option to equalize, this sounds good with it regular just sounds even better equalized
Hi bro, to you which one has more deep bass around 50-60 level, encore or jbl 100? According to you? Anyway thanks mate
Encore hands down

@sanguisbibimus if it's not the most recent it will tell you in the app to update at least that's what my ue epicboom and hyperboom did

I hope they update the hyperboom to make it sound even better but I think they are working on a hyperboom 2 now so
