I am Canadian and love your old cities and towns . One of my great grandfather's fought under Washinton , then left shortly after the war to come to Canada . It saddens me to see the towns abbandon . Now the same thing is going up here . I think it was all the plan to make every one to congregate to cities . As your seeing the true plan unfold now with 20 minute cities and being able to control . I been telling people from when I was 15 I am 52 soon . Many say the city is where the money is I say no , no food , steel ,wood , coal or anything comes from a city , it all came from the country and its not 1880 anymore . I am just outside of Toronto and it was a hourbor city , no need to keep adding to it anymore , we do not live like that anymore as for shipping goods . Anyway the towns you show and other videos show caring loving people , I wished I grew there and then . GOD bless and take care thank you for your time and work making these videos and telling the history .

MY wife and I Jel did the entire parkway, all 459 miles, in my Miata convertible over two days from beginning to end stopping for the night at the halfway mark then continuing on to Cherokee the next day in early October. This was the second time we have done this.

I have missed you guys. I checked all of your videos to determine if I had missed one, but learned I had not done so. Glad to see that you are alive and kicking. The Blue Ridge Parkway is beautiful. I have traveled it from the beginning to Sparta, NC. I really like to travel the Parkway every fall, but this year, I could not do so. From your video, it is as beautiful as I recall it. I particularly like the Parkway around Roanoke, VA. There is a wonderful place to stop for the night at Otter's Peak. It is like a lodge and has great food. I don't remember the exact exit, bu perhaps you can visit it sometime. During th summer, people can go on a trip ip the mountain to the top. I love Cade's Cove as I have been there at least 3 times since 1980. I remember traveling there during the early evening and at the campground adjacent to the entrance of the Cove, hundreds of deer come out to dine on the lush grass. It is really a historic site to visit. I also love Valle Cruise close to Boone, NC. I hope that you have had a great time on the Parkway. Thank you for taking me along. Glad to finally see you two again. Please be safe.

Amazing! I love it. Thanks for this. We travelled some of that parkway in the 70s, at least once. I think we also drove Skyline Drive. We've been to the Biltmore House and Valle Crucis also, but haven't seen any of it since the 70s. To my knowledge we never went into Asheville itself though.

Hey Melody, having tourism is what turns places, unappealing for the locals, I live in Florida in the city of Gainesville, but home is always West Virginia, so when Shaun said shh don't let the cat out of the bag, it's more truth than most people realize, I know we need to develop some things, but when money gets involved, people lose their standards, and that causes all kinds of crazy. Please don't take my statement as anything negative toward you I appreciate everything you do🤟🔥⛪👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🇺🇸🙏 Thanks for real Appalachia! I'm proud to be Appalachian no matter where I live, it's part of my very DNA God bless!

Guys, I hate to say it, but please, if you're going to shoot videos through your windshield or other car windows, CLEAN YOUR DOGGONE WINDSHIELD! This is the 2nd video of you guys I've tried to watch but had to shut it off due to the nasty stains on the window (plus it makes your camera focus on the bird poop stains instead of the outdoors). I'm from Virginia and now live in West Virginia and want to love your videos, but my fiancee and I have had to stop the videos due to the stains. Otherwise, love your content, keep it up.
