  • T199 & T186 Peterborough To Pichi Richi Summit South Australia May 1970. An excursion using two narrow gauge T class steam locomotives. The line between Quorn and Port Augusta through Pichi Richi Pass was long closed when this film was made and the
narrow gauge lines radiating from Peterborough to Terowie, Port Pirie, Broken Hill, Quorn to Port Augusta, and Central Australia had been progressively replaced by standard gauge via other routes.
From Adelaide, the change to narrow from broad gauge was originally at Terowie. All the narrow gauge lines are now closed apart from the Quorn to Port Augusta section through Pichi Richi Pass which was progressively restored by, and is operated by the Pichi Richi Preservation Society.

Not sure but there is a history of this narrow gauge line at
      en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peterborough%E2%80%93Quorn_railway_line
In 1917 the line became a link in the trancontinental rail journey until the broad and standard lines met at Port Pirie which changed the route and eliminated the narrow gauge section. The line hs been pulled up now altough the part between Quorn and Pich Richi Pass still exists and is used by the Pichi Richi Railway group..
