Nate!!! So happy to see you back but still hoping you take it really easy! I don't know what your beliefs are, but you're meant to be here for something! Thank you for your transparency, it will help so many (like my friend's 28 year old husband who just had a stroke and is still recovering). Never apologize for crying, there's so much healing through that. You're amazing and so many people, include me, are glad you're alive!

The fact that this man is still alive is a miracle. The fact that he’s still himself after all of this is an even bigger miracle. Nate is the Morning Show’s miracle, we all missed him so much and I’m so happy that he’s back!!!

I remember I was at work when I heard this and I cried so much. Because all I could remember was the day I gave birth. Long story short, the nurse at the hospital dismissed my suspicions of complications with my pregnancy. At 7:30pm I texted my husband at work that my mom and I were going to leave shortly, the dr wanted an ultrasound done to make sure the nurse's statement was reasonable. My daughter was born at 8:02pm. After I texted my husband, I went to use the bathroom and that's when I went into full labor because my placenta had totally detached, and my baby girl had no oxygen for that entire time. I couldnt meet her til she was a day old, I didn't get to hold her til she was 8 days old, and I couldn't bring her home til she was 14 days old. She's turning 2 in 3 weeks. If you see her now, you would've never known she had any bleeding in her brain. She's this sweet, overly happy baby. The trauma of that day hasn't left me. I don't think it ever will. I still remember the dr saying the most terrifying thing: we need her in the OR now, we're losing them.
They had to put me to sleep for the c-section because if they waited just 3 minutes for an anesthesiologist to arrive, my daughter and I would've died. You don't know fear until you almost die. It doesn't even matter what the situation was, feeling death consume you is painful and terrifying and if you survive it you're so lucky but you will live on with the flashbacks.
if I have any pregnancies in the future, I can only go up to 35 weeks and then the baby will need to be delivered early because my first princess arrived fashionably early. It's the safest option and I prefer it that way. The cool part of this whole thing was the way that the NICU nurses and doctors treated me. I was a celebrity in the NICU; "the lady who came in with some mommy's instinct suggestion and was 100% correct." That part was pretty cool. They shook my hand and were really surprised to see that I was so young (21 at the time). My mom specifically brought me there cause I'm still her baby even though I'm married and have my own baby and a whole career lol.
I just want everyone to enjoy life and remember that we're these weak, self destructing humans. Anything can happen either inside or out that can cause you or a loved one to never come home. Always remind your family that you love them. ❤️

Welcome back Nate I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. My dad had a stroke just recently and it was his 5th time and the worst one. Take it easy and like you say enjoy live because you never know when the day comes that you will not be here. Live everyday like it is your last and or the last time you might spend time with your friends and family.

13:53 the short answer Elvis is Money. I would love to travel around the world or even the country and spend more time with my kids and enjoy life but all I do is work. 6 days a week 12 hours a day for minimum wage. I havent enjoyed life for a while because work just keeps dragging me down. If I had money, I would take a break from work and really start enjoy life. I work like a dog and make money like a chicken and on my 1 day off im dead tired from working the last 6 days or 72 hours but I still try to enjoy my day off with my family. I wish you the best with your health and well being Nate 👍.

Nothing is more annoying to me than when people keep making jokes during an intense and serious moment like this 😒 as he was explaining Elvis kept trying to sneak in one unfunny joke after another totally undermines the importance of the message nate was trying to send.

So glad you are ok Nate. I can honestly say I know how you feel. At 35 I had a stroke. When I got to the hospital they found a tumor in my heart that had broken apart and shot to my brain. So I had the other type of stroke. They did emergency open heart surgery and here I am today 17 years later. I was told 95% of atrial myxomas are found on the autopsy table. So I’m one of the unluckiest lucky people too lol

I cried when I heard this on the radio that day but it really resonated with me today when I watched it on UA-cam. I finally escaped an abusive relationship with my sons father that went on for six years. They were many attempts to end my life as well as physical abuse- it doesn’t matter how you almost died but after a few times you really kinda get it-i’ll never look at a sunrise the same again I hug and kiss my son so much he calls me a smother now-but idc!! we should all appreciate every day we have bc no of us knows what tomorrow will bring. i’m broke now I need to find a new place I can’t afford to stay in our house but I still don’t fucking care!! Living in a box would be better than what we had to deal with on the daily. The strength you need to carry on after you almost die is something people rarely experience-& that’s a good thing of course!! but just wanted to say I’m really happy you’re alive Nate! stay that way please!! & I promise I will too!
much love, listener since forever, thanks for being my friends even if we don’t know each other I consider you all friends-even scary lol-just kidding!!
& def keep up with the fart jokes!!
