    I think I motorcycle camp for much the same reasons as you . I own and ride a Road King as well as a Suzuki DR 650 . My wife and I traveled our country ( Australia ) for many years riding and camping , then when the kids came along we bought sidecars and continued on . We are now in our 70ts and my wife is in care full time but I still ride and camp as much as I can with friends or on my own . I don’t think the enthusiasm or passion ever go away for this type of life . 👌 Thank you for your videos

      Sir, I am in awe of your story, you are humble but possess vast experience with this topic. Many of us would likely slow down or postpone this type of outdoor life when our families come along. To go with sidecars is an inspiring way to go to live your passion, not to mention the experiences you shared with your children that I know that they cherish and look back on. I admire you! I would ask that you check out my #whyiride video and share your experiences in the comments with riding your first bike onto your current bikes. I am sure it is an amazing story. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment to my video. ua-cam.com/video/fYwEN-j2xOQ/v-deo.html

      Glad you think so! It is not always easy to describe and share the passion Roxy and me have for riding and camping. Please have a look at my “#whyiride” video, it describes why I do what I do. Thanks again!

    Great video Clem, I’m camp from little boy on. Today (I'm 62), I just camp with little more comfort, as for 10 years, now with: chair, table and one ticker mattress, but with stuff that have Alway small volume & Lightweight. I cook every day fresh (if possible). Camp ground or wild camp give my one certain freedom, and you meet mos time, a lot of nice people😉

      I camped as well when I was younger but the equipment was so much less technical back then. You are right that lightweight is the key on a motorcycle. Almost everything we take is backpacking equipment! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment!

    In my experience motocamping is an extension of the motorcycle travel experience. Like riding motorcycles, camping brings you closer to the surrounding environment. Staying in a motel is much like driving a car, only you're sleeping in the isolated 'cage'. BTW, the 'free' breakfasts at the Holiday Inn Express are really good.

      You know it! The challenge is to make camping as comfortable as you can while balancing bike space. Keep on my friend!

      Brian, I really appreciate hearing from you and all those out there share similar interests in riding and camping. No better way to experience the beautiful places in the world and no better way to get close to your partner than on a bike and in a tent! Thanks for watching and hope you subscribe to the channel.

    I like to travel light, wake up in the morning, have a bite to eat, get packed up and gone in less than an hour, on to my next destination, no wasted time on material things like campers, bbqs and b.s. The sooner i can leave in the morning, the more i can experience in the day.

    Your beard looks awesome, let it grow long Man. I also live in Georgia. We could be twins.

    • @clemgriffis3446
      @clemgriffis3446  Рік тому +1

      Beards can get unwieldy, I like to grow it long since the pandemic kept us working from home so much. I think ultimately we need to satisfy our sweetheart!

    • @darkhelmetsplane
      @darkhelmetsplane Рік тому

      @@clemgriffis3446 I had to hack about two thirds of my glorious beard off a couple of months ago. To say it was 'unwieldy' is an understatement. In a ponytail-rope configuration it would perpetually whip me in the face, which is beyond annoying. The only realistic solution I found was to roll it up into a bun, and that looked a bit 'not so cool' which defeated the purpose. Clem, 'the biker beard' would make a great topic for a future video.

    I like camping too with a Minimate camper behind my F6B Goldwing

      I have been looking at mini-mates and Timeouts for sometime, along with the small Bushtec trailer to just upsize my tent and camping gear. I know I need to upgrade to more comfort without losing the spirit of camping. Thanks for watching and commenting. Please subscribe if not already. Here is another video discussing this approach. ua-cam.com/video/OWsrvY_Rh7o/v-deo.html

    I camp to disappear, Take along a fishing Pole And listen to Nature. I have spent years camping With big Box store cheap equipment. After being cold wet and uncomfortable numerous times I finally gave it all away and spent Money on the good stuff. We Both live in Ohio hopefully I will run into you someday.

      Fred, I spent many years in Akron/Barberton working there and then in China & India for the same company based in Ohio. I have since moved to Utah to work my last few years before retiring. I certainly like the idea of disappearing… I am with you my friend…

      Biz, I am giving a link of my camping video that is about 5 years old. Take a look at the Description and I placed a complete list along with prices as at that time. Coincidentally, I have been editing a current camping gear video UPDATE with the things I discarded and the new things I added based on 5 years experience while moto-camping. Please subscribe so you can see the updated edition. I think I will release it in the next day or so. ua-cam.com/video/-QC1NXGKHYU/v-deo.html Again, thanks for watching and asking.

    Im in Dawson creek B.C 🇨🇦 2 of my 3 bikes are in the garage, the other needs to come in the house tonight as it's-16c . And the forecast calls for 20cm of snow tonight 😳
    But you have got me thinking about a mountain camp next spring!

    • @clemgriffis3446
      @clemgriffis3446  Рік тому

      Brent, I hear you. We had a little snow in Northern Utah yesterday but not enough to cause a problem. I am really hoping to get at least one more ride up the canyon near where I live before that shut down the pass. But, Like I said in the video, I will be planning a number of different camping trips and doing lots of garage therapy with my bikes.
