STEVEN HOLTON Fleming makes a well designed and well built boat. Your boat selections depends upon your budget and your plans for cruising. I have helped many clients find their perfect boat coaching them through their wants and needs but I am not a boat broker. Send me an email and I’ll be glad to set up a time to talk. Larry Belt many don’t believe it but once you understand how it all works (wind and current etc) a larger boat with a keel can be easier to dock than a smaller planing hull- and a pontoon boat is often described as a leaf upon a puddle. Thanks for watching and for your comments.
Captain Chris - How about seeing docking a twin Carver with one motor and it has a bad prop in the wind ? And yes no bow or stern thruster . Basically a working mans boat
We have posted many videos of that type of boat. Even a few with single engine and no thruster. We post daily either aboard bots we train on or just watching from the docks.
This is on my list of yachts I intend to get. Flemming 65 Nordhaven 70 Or a Ocean Alexander 70-75ft range. I'm looking for something that can handle Cat A sea conditions, with at least 3k cruising range. It must be rugged enough to handle the northern passage. I will contact you for a refresher lesson, once purchased. Of the 3 which do you think fits my family's needs the best...Thank you Capt Chris
Eugene Hill I would lean toward the nordhavn for what you described. I offer consulting services and after the thanksgiving holiday I can be reached by phone 772-205-1859
38snubby thanks for watching the “Fleming” (1 m please 😉) as he docked in Baltimore. Using his bow thruster. If he had a stern thruster he did not use it, setting up a spring line and using a bow thruster only in this video. BTW it’s called a stern thruster not a rear bow thruster. And some boats have only the stern thruster or none at all. 👍🏼
He was prepared to dock I like that. Those Fleming's are beautiful Trawlers.
nashguy207 yes they are. Beautiful boats sure do catch the eye.
@@AskCaptainChris Would you recommend one? Good value?

Beautiful! I couldn't do that good with my 22 single engine Tritoon. Love the mahogany rails.

Going to have to go to Trawler Fest one day. Hope my Silverton won't be jealous if I bring home another boat.
CHARLES DAVENPORT it’s just like bringing home another puppy. The older dog gets used to it. 🐶

@@AskCaptainChris Ok, I will definitely be in touch with you Capt. Chris, thank you for you invaluable videos and commentary...Happy Holidays
Wow ! Scary
I "assume" that a Flemming had no rear bow thruster. HAHAHAAA, This guy really knows what he is taking about. NOT.
