MOVIE: Doli - डोली
SYNOPSIS:
Amar lives a middle-class life in India with his oft-critical dad, Basantlal and his mom, a housewife. When Basantlal decides to get Amar married to Ramprasad's daughter, Amar accepts this. However, on the day of the wedding, Ramprasad is arrested by the police for embezzling Rs.20,000/- from his employer, he is tried in court and sentenced to a long prison term. Then Amar meets with a lovely young woman named Asha and both of them fall in love with each other. They would like to get married and want each other to meet their respective families. Before that could happen, a shocked Amar sees Asha holding hands and being intimate with his U.S.-returned friend, Prem Kumar. Looks like Amar's heart is going to get broken, and by the looks of things, marriage may not be in his fate after all.

Outstanding very good movie of 1959 with an old good story line and with best screenplay. it was a movie which dominated by Prem Chopra and Babita, both acted very well. Rajesh Khanna, Om Prakash, Sulochna latkar, Nana palsikar, Raj Mehra, Nazima, Shami and Sundar also acted very well. it was one of the best movie of Prem Chopra career as a villain. Babita looks very sexy and gorgeous jn this movie. she was the most stylist hot sexy actress of that time. overall a good movie, dialogues are great, the music and songs were awesome. the title song is still being listened in every marriage. Other songs were also very melodious and the music was very great. the camera work was ok. overall a good family drama movie with a social message to all the society. only one two places the story was not very believable, when Raj Mehra was not recognised by his own daughter and his wife just he got a beard and black goggles as a driver. it was very unbelievable and very absurd in the movie.
