Amazing video! I made the Stardew Bachelorettes in Sims 3 so needed to find out their signs and had actually made a chart similar to this but based on start of year instead of seasons [Capricorn: Winter 26-Spring 7 (Dec 22-Jan 19); Aquarius: Spring 8-Spring 16 (Jan 20-Feb 18); and so on]. I ended up with Penny as a Cancer, Maru as a Taurus, and Leah as a Sagittarius. I love how much research you put into this. It's neat to see what traits we read into the characters through the limited dialogue and interactions - very fun 😊
With your presentation, Maru feels like an Aquarian tbh and it makes sense with her tech and med nature (STEM needs a lot of correct info or can be said as facts)
I dig this, im not too aware of zodiac signs but it was fun to see the characteristics of three signs (one being mine) with three Bachelorettes. Awesomely in depth, fun and informative, great work Miss Vanston! Looking forward to Pt.2!

I'd be willing to argue that Maru is very autism-coded and that's why some of the traits like "nurturing" and "intuitive" aren't immediately recognizable as traits for her. I'm not autistic myself but I have dated and had kids with an autistic woman. She struggled with a lot of those same issues and was often called "heartless" and "robotic" by people. Here's the thing, though. For Maru, something like the fact that she's LOOKING INTO ways to be a good parent demonstrates how nurturing she really is internally, and same thing for when she gets confirmation about where or not you like her. Maru is someone who is deeply compassionate and kind, and her way of approaching new things is not done through instinct or blind guessing. She is looking for confirmed tried-and-true methods first and knows that she can experiment after that if it doesn't work; she is a scientist, after all. Maru WANTS to be the best nurturer she can possibly be, which makes her highly nurturing by default since she actually cares to learn and improve. Other indicators pointing to my theory that she's autism-coded also perfectly fall in like with Cancer, like having a small, tight-knit group of people she trusts (most of them being family,) and going into her shell when she's upset. Those both perfectly mirror that previous relationship I mentioned.

Aquarians can hold their own in social situations, and often they can make friends easily but from what I've seen of my Aquarian friends, they do appreciate their alone time... and do things out of the ordinary, also some of them do still see themselves as having issues with tech, even though they are the most tech saavy, lol. Ahh I see I see. I’m new to learning about other people’s star signs, so I don’t have that ground-level research yet! I’m a Scorpio myself, which is why I put the “I feel very attacked” meme for the Scorpio decan bit, I just forgot to add the info that it was my sign! 😅

I did this a few months ago, and came to much the same conclusions as yours! ... But I used the astronomical seasons, with the first 10 days of each season being one zodiac, the next 9 days the next, and the last 9 days the last. So about 2/3 of the villagers were one zodiac sign off. I also am not very educated about the zodiac and didn't look at anything other than the sign itself, like the element. Here's the conclusions I wrote up: Aries (first third of spring, Kent and Lewis) are strong and motivated, totally fits, you've got to be motivated to become a soldier or a mayor Taurus (middle third of spring, Vincent, Pam, and Haley) are stubborn and annoying, which fits quite well in my opinion. Gemini (last third of spring, Shane, Pierre, and Emily) is probably the worst fit, they're said to be shrewd and sneaky, only maybe fits with Pierre Cancer (first third of summer, Jas and Gus) are said to be compassionate and fun-loving. Again, Jas is too young to have a defined personality, but Gus is the one who gave Linus food. Leo (middle third of summer, Maru, Alex, and Sam) are said to be confident and ambitious, all three of them have big dreams (musician, inventor, sportsman) and they're ambitious in reaching them. Virgo (end of summer, Demetrius, Dwarf, and Leo) are said to be humble, industrious, and overall pretty normal people, also it's the most common zodiac IRL, and the characters have some of the least fleshed-out personalities. Libra (start of autumn, Penny and Elliott) are said to be relaxed, empathetic, and artistic. Totally fits. Scorpio (middle of autumn, Jodi, Abigail, Sandy, and Marnie) are said to be mysterious, mystical, and rebellious. Fits very well for Abigail and Sandy, and not at all for the other two. Marnie might be the exception here since her outfit has an autumn color theme so she HAD to be born in autumn, zodiac be damned. Sagittarius (end of autumn, Robin and George) are said to be skilled, and boastful about their skills. Robin has the skilled part, and George has the boastful part without having any skills. Capricorn (start of winter, Linus and Caroline) are said to be hardworking and faithful. Both hardworking for sure, and Linus rescues you sometimes, but Caroline isn't exactly faithful, if you know what I'm saying... Aquarius (middle of winter, Sebastian, Harvey, and Wizard) are said to be introverted, very smart, and visionaries. They're all introverts, the Wizard is quite a visionary, Harvey obviously is intelligent, and even Sebastian's got to be pretty intelligent to be a programmer. Pisces (end of winter, Evelyn, Leah, and Clint) are said to be creative and very sensitive to criticism. This most obviously fits with Leah but they're all creative in some way be it with flower gardens or with tool making. Clint's also really shy with might fit with being sensitive to criticism, IDK about the other two. I'm not sure if I did this wrong or right by using the astronomical seasons. Elliott is later in Libra so he probably doesn't get pushed into Virgo like Penny does, and honestly Elliott fits Libra far better than Penny as he is an ACTUAL artist, and Penny does fit with Virgo better. Leah can fit quite well in either Aquarius or Pisces. Meanwhile Abigail would probably get pushed into Libra - which doesn't seem right, Abigail is very much a stereotypical Scorpio. Also all the ones I put as Aquarii fit Aquarius very well. Hope this helps at least a little if you intend to continue this series.

As a neurotypical gal, I'm not comfy diagnosing one way or the other without any indication from the creator, but if that headcanon makes people feel seen then I'm all for them having that headcanon! I think it'd be really cool to add a character who officially had autism too (as long as it was handled the right way of course!) I would love that!
