This is Genius. I applaud you I used to make these miniture love gun cardboard stages back in 77 transforming evil kenivel dolls into kiss.dolls using Christmas lights match books for the pyros dry ice for the fog. I wound mount the round littte latchets to the ceiling and make the drums rise. I wish I would have had this technology back then. In my 40s I started constructing the Dynasty stage scaled to the Creaturs dolls but never finished it. I think YOU should construct the Dynasty stage. Great job im looking forward to seeing it.
I've always been fascinated by stage design, lt never accurd to me of doing stage models, this is amazing. A tutorial on how to get people started in this hobby would be nice. I definitely would enjoy learning how to put something like this together but with a different act of performers. Once again impressive!!!
Even if you think Kiss is the worst band in history, I don't see how you give this video a thumbs down. It's not about the band. That's some outstanding craftsmanship.
i was close to making the drums rise. even closer to light & make the mirror balls spin. lots of compromises along the way. it came out about 85% the way i wanted it. thanks for the kind words man!
Love the work! You should make and sell them, I have both the box sets of Kiss alive and Creatures and the lights don’t work. And I have been looking for a backdrop like you have here.
The only way this could be better is if there was some way to do stop motion animation of the figures with that set up, and add stage smoke. This is such an awesome set-up! Great job on this!
This was beyond amazing and fantastic! I've always wanted to do something similar, but haven't the first clue to get started. You should consider putting out tutorial vids for those of us who aspire, similarly. So damned cool, sir!
I used to do this with my mcfarlyn kiss figures when i was a kid. I used K'nex and legos and cardboard and paint. It did not look anywhere near this bad ass!
a couple extras here & there but close as i could to what he had in 75-76. the cymbals are off but i ran out of room on the riser. many thanks for the kind words.
i would love to but it sold in 2018. i made another one a year later and it sold. at the moment i've been making a lot of logo's. ua-cam.com/channels/BSBcp8N7xS8PmcAydZ8gAQ.html

Coolest stage model I've ever seen. Great job. How about making an axe bass for Gene and an iceman for Paul? You could re-use the necks so all you'd have to make is the bodies.
Nice indeed ! Professional. I like the candels, logo small lights in Ace guitar , hope the drum raiser works on remote as well ? I have been building miniature stages many years , hope to come in contact with you to swap a few ideas , hints n tricks , thanks 🙏🏼
Did you ever think of making the drum-riser with the tigers / cats in gold with the light-up eyes? That woulda been cool, might as well, with how far you took this and the amount of time. I'm sure you could make it look great, plus make the whole thing go up and down with a crank handle.
yes, i looked into it & involves some mirco switches. i may be able to do it, but also have to sell it depending how much money is into it. also thought about the dynasty riser but would have to do lots of molds for it. all the flashing lights would light up.
Fantastic recreation. I've been a Kiss fan for over 35 years and have been to probably 20 Kiss concerts through the years. How many hours do you think you spent on this? My personal favorite touring stage was Leon sphinx during H.I.T.S. tour. Would love to see that one!
don't really know how many hours but the first one I did took a year and a half. second one I did took 10 months. I guess the more you do the quicker you make them. yes, saw HITS tour too. awesome leon. only seen 8 shows, wish it were more. 78 alive II tour was the first. selling these model stages is why I build them, so it's a risk to make a full size one. couldn't afford the full dynasty stage so I built part of the right side.
@@LEDCCFL Hi , great work and really nice craftsmanship you put in there , I tip my hat ! I built my first Kiss stage in 1977 , now many years later I recently picked up the craft again I built two stages now during Corona times. But scaled it down to 1/43 due to space reasons.
Holy hell that's amazing and some serious dedication. I noticed the gene figure is different from the alive set, which one did you use? I would buy a Moducase to put this setup in to protect it. Incredible job.
By any chance do you take commissions? I’m currently wrapping up a 1/6 scale ALIVE II drum-kit for my Mego KISS dolls and I’m seriously considering paying someone to build me a stage from the Love Gun/ALIVE II Tour. My end goal is to produce an exhibition of large scale oil paintings dedicated to the KISS dolls.
i've been asked a lot lately to make a full sized stage. i'd much rather do that than the smaller stuff. there's approximately 500 bucks just in parts & materials. my health gets in the way sometimes in making these & slows me up once in a while. that's why i couldn't do commissions as much as i'd like to.
@@LEDCCFL: I plan to put up a content channel sometime within the next month or 2 dedicated to vintage toys from the 1970’s.
