Thanks so much! I had been looking at some mini nucs in bulk, but the prices stateside were crazy and I didn't want to have to order them from across the world. I have several mating nucs but definitely expanding my Russian line this year. Thanks again!
Different hive, same idea ua-cam.com/video/mfZpLUNEEZ8/v-deo.html Sarting minis with a cup of bees and a virgin queen has had a high success rate for us, this year 1st round was 100% but we typicaly see about 80%
Thanks a lot, they are easy and cheaper, I have made 2 a few day ago,I went today to see them and I found that they absconded because they gnawed and escapes, the Next moving I Will try to cover almost allí nuc.trying and failure.
Couple questions; In the video you don't say either way on if your size was to match compatibility with other systems' manufactured mini-nuc frames? And you didn't really talk about how the frames would work for this at all. You did briefly mention bamboo skewers, but didn't really explain if you were going to let them just make their own stuff to hang off that, or if you put something pre-made from the market in there, etc? Could you maybe comment and advise us on that?
for the "glue" people here is my 180 pounds standing on a box www.beesource.com/attachments/dscf1278-jpg.54241/ strong enough to do what it needs to These were for club work shops screwdrivers are cheap and many people can bring there own. glue makes messes witch limits were the work shop can happen
If you like that you should try using 1 inch foam. Makes a much sturdier box. No glue? Also get the screws with a washer style head. I love the skewer for the top bar. The bee supply shop have lost their minds. 20$ for the nuc plus frames 💩
mabe, but it also makes messes remember this wasn't a "build the best" nuc out there project, its intent was for club workshops and not geting glue on a venues tables/desks was a key consideration far easer to have a dozzen screwdrivers then a dozen caluk guns
Really smart. Just what I needed! ❤
Very cool video. Thanks.
I made up a few these today. One modification cut the top in two so I could add the sugar water without disturbing the bees
Well done very well
I am a beekeeper from Baghdad, an excellent idea

Woow... It's very helpful for beginners
Thank you...

Where do you get the foam? Is it insallation board?
I found mine at Home Depot DIY six panels for 10.35 able to make 12 boxes
Better Way, go to your local fish mongers and grab the polystyrene box's with lids. Put dividers in and rotary doors. 8 in one.

Is there a Part 1 to this video where u describe the cuts u made. The video seems to begin in the middle
the cuts are in the description.. this was a precut kit we distrubuted to local clubs
Can you post link to the webinar? I would like to view it. Good video.
look up @frqueens on facebook
A little water based adhesive would have been better at the joint. 👌
Glue would be easier and a better seal.
