I think one of the most detrimental trends of the Telesco era in terms of player approach and development was his unwillingness to play young players early in their careers to see what they had to offer. There are some positions that seem to benefit more from sitting behind veterans and there are others that need to play immediately to acclimate to game speed and begin growing. Telesco not only failed to identify some of this but he also failed in simply having succession plans for positions that anyone with two eyes could see needed an heir BEFORE the decline of the King. I hope Hortiz is better prepared in this regard. Seems like a huge reason why we've had the depth conversation for Telescos entire term as GM. He didn't have enough plans over his tenure to right the ship. Not everything had to go our way but enough of it would have made for a better run organization and he just failed throught and through after his initial blueprint fell apart.
Ha- I was literally looking up 2025 Centers on Walter Football last night. I still can't believe we didn't take a center this past draft. I was really rooting for Frazier, who the Steelers got. Was hoping we could've traded QJ for an extra 2nd rounder and have picked Frazier. Also was looking at who we could possibly trade for Center-wise. Because outside of two centers in next years draft( who both don't blow me away honestly), there's no one worthy imo of coming in here and being a great starter next year. Bit I'd be happy with the Chargers at least drafting the center from USC if they could pull that off. But I also want Harbaugh's guys: Loveland, Grant, and Graham if we pick high enough or trade up. CB also. Another guard and edge maybe. Gus Hartwig Purdue Center intrigues me.
Can we get a Katsons corner special for all the guys in CFB with wild names in need a break down on guys like OL Parker Titsworth if he’s gonna be eligible for the draft lol
Pipkins and salyer are on roster I would keep but bringing in comp for Zion and a young Center is a NEED, also our line coach sucks all these penalties like you can get beat but all these penalties are terrible
