    I ordered mine a few days ago I’ve been looking at lifts for months going back and fourth from cheap to expensive lifts, not once did I come up with advantage lifts some how an add popped up in my feed looked you guys up. The price point, the care and quality you guys put in your product and the customer service made me order my lift about 20 mins later. I can’t wait. I’ve heard many stories about how the cheap lift have terrible instructions and non existent customer service, for you guys to have all that at an affordable price really says something. This video was top notch and and shows you guys really care about your products. Thanks

      Just got mine up last weekend, i got the old manual so i had to convert the metric to standard. The manual is very vague, there should be a parts list to cover what the nuts, bolts, screws, and washers go to however it does not. This video will help you with the install for sure. The customer service i've dealt with has been great and the quality seems great as well. haven't used it a lot yet however did use it to make sure it works. Over all, for the money i think you will be pleased with this lift.

    Video was very helpful because the included instructions are trash. However, I ran into one issue during my install. I followed the video step by step and at the 45:00 min mark, the overhead switch was connected to outside terminals. When it was time to connect to power, the lift did not work. After reviewing the video again, and checking I connected the switch to the motor correctly, I could not figure out what the issue could be. At the 1:56:16 mark he says the wires should be connected to inside terminals on the overhead switch. I made that change and it worked properly. Make sure to connect to inside terminal on the safety switch before installing to the overhead bar. It’s much easier on the ground than on a ladder.

      i noticed the same thing however i caught his comment at the end about using the center posts on the switch before i powered it and made the correction so i had no issues. The instructions in the manual are horrible and should even have a parts list for nuts, bolts, screws, and washers however does not!

    What a. FANTASTIC VIDEO!! Thank You guys for making it! This kinda stuff is what makes UA-cam Great!
    One question I have is some other videos recommend using concrete anchor epoxy for the anchor bolts is that something you recommend?
    And one other you tuber recommends threaded rod and epoxy. I'm thinking the rod would be good if you had lets say a 12" floor I dont think it would be useful in say a 5 " floor

    • @LynxStarAuto
      @LynxStarAuto 4 місяці тому +1

      100% you should be using chemical anchors. Not the mechanical ones shown here. The chemical anchors use a different type of stud. It's basically a threaded rod you press in, let set, then you tighten down the nuts to
      spec.
      Do not use mechanical anchor bolts and epoxy them. Use the proper threaded rod.

      Any normally closed momentary switch will work. You'll just need to make a bare that pivots on one end and is allowed to move up and down an inch on she other. A piece of emt with pipe insulation should be fine

      @advantage_lifts 14 днів тому

      Hey there! Sorry it took so long to respond. Hopefully you found a way, but you have to tighten the nut before installing that part. There is no good way to get a wrench down there unless you install it before, or raise the carriage up to be able to get back there.

      Hey there, Enzo! Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I needed to get an answer to your questions. Yes, you can shim the second size if needed. It really just depends on the tilt or angle of your garage. Shimming both is completely fine, shimming one is completely fine--as long as it's needed.

    the video was very helpful, but had mistakes a that caused backtracking and was frustrating. The manual provided is inadequate and misrepresentative of the materials included in the lift. Also at 45 minutes he tells you to wire the overhead switch to the outside posts in the switch, then at 1hour 55 minutes he tells you to wire them to the two center posts. Your 4 post video was great, I knocked it out so easily... the AL-SC10 video isn't bad but so many details missed or edited out, the AL-SF10 video downright sucks.... no talking to let you know what's going on and why, just crappy music for 20 minutes
