@@benlee8260I feel like a good start would be all the schools around the valley for kids and adults teaching indigenous languages like Piipaash, etc. Understanding the language means starting to get a better understanding of the culture. There are Japanese language learning video games currently being developed right now and I wish that was also the case for indigenous languages like Piipaash, Diné bizaad, Oʼodham, etc. And being taught history through indigenous perspective rather than a history book that is heavily white washed. I feel things like things would bring out greater awareness, empathy, and understanding to everyone in the Valley.
I am both and a 1/4 Hope, I am full blooded, but at birth I was given up for adoption and was brought up with 2 Dutch brothers and later my sister was adopted ( she is not Native American ), so I spent every summer in the Netherlands. I plan to make a trip to Arizona because both of my adult children are half Native plus I would like to learn more about my heritage.
Give the land back!!! That’s not fair to our native peoples!!!
