Yes for sure. I ran a cross country once in 78. No where's the distance you drove but my buddy and I won it. Even after he fell off his sled and took the lanyard with him lol. I took my turn and got them in the corners. Had enough lead on them that when Wayne's turn came back around he took the honors home. Oh 340 L "P" too. First trailing arm one too. I had a 77 340 L. Classic look still today.
What did it take to put the Hayes/gen2 master and switch block in the sled? What are you running for bars. Sure don’t look like the stock boomerang wedge bars
from watching this i can see how using the snowdust you throw can be a strategy to keep people from passing you alot of the time lol i came here not exspecting to watch the whole thing but ended up watching it all. nice riding. i have a 1999 xc 700 that looks alot like ur 600 there and its kind of a rocketship and beats alot of newer and bigger sleds for some reason. and i only paid 1500 bucks for it and have rode it 2 years now so cant really complain lol
Thanks. Snow is not far from us. We will see if the conditions are right this year to over take a grasshopper. If there were 4 feet moguls I would be night and day diffrence.
I bet most of those newer sleds had much longer tracks. If so, they corner like crap on tight relatively smooth terrain. However if there was more snow and large bumps they come into their own.
So you have one without edited sound, I prefer to listen to the sleds instead of the music, it actually puts you right in the race that way. Thanks for posting

Thanks. If my hp was up to par I wouldn't need a new sled. Once in the groove and figured out the track its on. I lost my waterpump belt the site lap. So I couldn't even get a test run. Went from overheating to taking them to school. Thanks for watching.

I knew both weren’t stock. Edge/Gen2 ran same bars and master/switches right. The 440 racers from the 98 red rocket until the end of the prox ran a cat style wildwood and even straighter bars. Going from 25 year old memory’s. I ran a cat wildwood on an Ultra for 6k miles. And CR80 expert handle bars. Gave you 2” of rise and almost straight without a block and allow you to angle towards hood and still close it.
@@PolarisRacer make sure they are CR80 EXPERT. Think they made the expert from 1997-2005. It was the big wheel 80cc bike. Normal CR80 bars are a few inches narrower for 9-12 year old kids that aren’t built like an NBA/NFL player. The expert was the BIG boy bike.
