  • I have been recording conversations between scientists, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and artists as a part of a continuing film project.
In 2015, ideas curator Lakshmi Pratury brought great change-makers together for the INK Talks conference in Mumbai.
In the hotel lobby, I paired people who didn’t know each other, together, for candid freewheeling conversations. I offered them only three cues - the self, the ecosystem, and the future of humans.
In one such exchange, actor Irrfan and entrepreneurs Asha Jadeja, Sunny Singh, and Anu Aga shared insights with each other.
While this is yet to be edited for the final film, the following raw edit is being released as a tribute to the great actor as I remember him - a vast, compassionate, rational, and graceful seeker of truth.
    ----
(Excerpt from a work-in-progress production, produced by Zain Memon, directed by Anand Gandhi for Memesys Studios
Shot on location at Grand Hyatt, Mumbai, in collaboration with INK Talks
Disclaimer: The views and opinions expressed in this work are those of the participants and do not necessarily reflect the views of the author and his affiliates.)

Yesterday, I read Sutapa mam's tweet, she said the actor always used to find gain in everything and after going through this video I realised she was right when she said there is a gain in his departure. The multi dimensional view point and saying we Indians looking for role models. I rightly agree with his points. We are taking spirituality in a different direction. We have been fighting on having best spiritualism in the world even without knowing the half of it. The more we know about it the more is unknown to know. I gained from his death...I gained his attitude to do the right thing even if others aren't doing because right is right even if zero person is doing it. Wrong is wrong even if all of them are doing. Thanks a ton for uploading this video and I wish we could have more videos featuring the young mind with grey hairs. 🙂

He has traveled to an unknown world and is resting in peace, I will still long for all that we will miss because of Him not been around. It’s hard to get over this and strangely it feels like such a personal loss with just being an admirer of his work.

Irrfan Khan was an advanced soul.
He was awakened which not many ppl will understand.
I think he must have attained Moksha
Maybe he just got relieved from the cycle of birth and death.

Towards the end when Anand interrupted just to say that Irrfan has to go, my heart escaped a beat...
That rational mind and charismatic personality might have been gone, but his words and body of work stays with us forever; just the way he concluded the conversation.
    Thanks a lot Anand
