  • How to make Corey’s green alkaline smoothie to alkalize and energize your body, and make it easier to achieve optimum health and vitality.
In this video coaching newsletter I show you how to use a Vitamix blender to make my favorite healthy green alkaline smoothie. It’s a combination of some of the most powerful green alkaline super-foods such as spinach, celery, cucumber, broccoli and green peppers. I also use strawberries, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, dates, apple, cherry tomatoes and alkaline water to make it delicious. I show the most efficient way possible to blend all ingredients together and the order in which I do it. I also discuss the difference just one smoothie per day can make in your skin, vitality, health and overall sense of well-being. This recipe makes four days worth of smoothies.
    Ingredients:
2 heaping tablespoons of ground cinnamon
2 heaping tablespoons of vanilla extract
    1 Fuji apple
    1 head of broccoli
    5 medjool dates (remove pits!)
    1 green pepper
    1 cucumber
    6 large stalks of celery
    12 Ounces of alkaline water
    12-15 cherry tomatoes
    6-10 strawberries
    2 five-ounce tubs of spinach

Alright so I don't know where else to post this little tidbit but here it goes. If you're anything like me where you count calories and you track your macros day to day then you'll probably find alot of value in my comment. Keep in mind that when fruits and veggies are involved there's alot of variation in calories and nutritional content due to weight differences in the food. For reference i use a Vitamix 5200 blender to mix my green smoothies.
    - this is based off of Corey's recipe making 4 servings. I divide them into medium sized mason jars so i can drink one serving in the morning and one at night, essentially its the first thing i put into my body and the last thing that i put into my body during the day
*Per serving, total of 4 servings*
    Calories: 230
    Fat: 1.2g
    Fiber: 13.2g
    Carbs: 51g
    Sugar: 29g
    Protein: 7.8g
*If it didnt have a label on it, i tried to use Myfitnesspal for the nutrition facts, and if they didnt have it i used **nutritiondata.self.com*
My thoughts: This is an amazing supplemental addition to an already clean diet. You get all of your micro's whenever you want them during the day. The first time I tried this i'd rate the taste at a 2/10. You DEFINITELY need to refrigerate these before consumption, otherwise it'll taste just like fresh cut wet grass on a hot summer day (not good at all). I stuck with it because im stubborn and powered through the taste. the second week and about 20-30 mason jars worth of smoothie later i got used to the taste. When im decently hungry i'd now rate the taste 6/10 and my body really welcomes the ingestion of this stuff. i just feel amazing after drinking it.
Oh and if you drank too much or you feel like you're getting sick just double up on the dosage and you'll win, trust me. Happy blending!

One other detail I'd like to add: If you're a fan of cinnamon like me, still stick to the recipe!
I have a smaller blender, so I cut everything in half--except I was keeping the full dosage of cinnamon. After 2 weeks of smoothies, I was getting canker sores in my mouth. Once I lowered the quantity of cinnamon, they didn't come back 👍

Youll never gain weight eating this even with all those calories. You could have 20 of these and you wont gain. Not all calories are equal despite what health gurus tell you

@@UnrealEngineTutorials 20 of thoose smoothies is 4600 kcalories, heavy gym day for a big man uses something close to that. But if ur a little girl, your definitely gain weight with that. Imo. It would be fun to test if what you say is actually true. Or have you seen any data about this, not all calories are equal -thing?

I think the taste description and rating is pretty accurate. I made the mistake of having it room temp for the first time and kind of gagged. But when it is cold it's actually pretty good; I'd say I actually enjoy it. It's not as good as the more fruit-based smoothies I used to make, but still good enough to look forward to drinking.

If the smoothie has a low level of nutrition, you would want to walk away and never look back. If the smoothie comes back, use a date and drink up. You only want to choose smoothies that has a high level of nutrition.

I made this smoothie in my Vitamix a few times already and I must admit that at first, the flavor and texture combined is somewhat unusual - with the cinnamon and vanilla, it's reminds me of a green apple sauce. It's delicious - and I didn't even have to drink it 10-15 times before saying that. Thank you Coach Corey.

If you're looking for a less expensive blender besides coach 's with the V6 engine, I bought the Ninja 100 watt Pro from Wally World (that's Walmart overseas readers). It cost $80(US) and will hold all the ingredients with room to spare if you blend as you add them. It has 3 blade removable tower in middle, the pitcher lid must be locked down before it will allow blending so you won't have to hold it. Also has spout at top of pitcher which makes it easy to pour.

Damn I tried that out the last night and my nose literally opened up after 5 minutes of drinking. Felt refreshed and more clear in my head as well since I was kinda drunk of a lack of sleep.. definitely gonna try that out for the next 30 days. Thinking about adding some linseed to it which helps digesting. And maybe some wheat germ oil but I am not sure if that is necessary.
    Have a great day!

    Hey Corey,
I realize you put this out a long time ago, but it is still worth mentioning, that instead of using glasses with plastic wrap, just pick up some wide-mouth Nalgene bottles. They are BPA free and tough as nails, which also makes them very useful when you are very active and on the go, and without the risk of a big mess.
If you are doing smoothies, because of the added pulp, they will oxidate and deteriorate very fast, which is why it is better that when making smoothies, to make only enough servings that you are going to consume immediately. Juicing them tends to be far more forgiving. (I use a Blendtec for smoothies, but use a Breville juice fountain elite for doing juices.) Juices are better when you are trying to drop weight. trying to give your digestive system a break, or when you are extremely busy and need to make multiple servings to consume over the next couple of days. Smoothies are great when you are not in as much of a rush and have time to make single servings, and when you want the whole fruit and vegetable nutrition, along with the fiber.
In any case, if you need larger batches of your smoothies or juices to last longer, and oxidate slower, simply start your smoothie or juice session by squeezing out the juice of several lemons before hand. The lemons are a natural preservative, help keep the ingredients fresher longer, slow down the oxidation process, and also provide an added kick of vitamin C.

Not Sure if you fill the glas up to the top and close it so that no air can move, they should last for 1-2 days in the fridge (no light).

I was oddly aroused watching you make this smoothie. Great foreplay.
Pro tip: prep everything and equally divide the ingredients into two batches. No fear of green shit everywhere. Add a little lemon or lime to naturally preserve the ingredients. That may negate the alkalinity though. Also, if you steal Starbucks straws (large gage green ones) those work great for enjoying ones juice.
    Marvelous recipe!

How much do these cost to make - on average?

    • @Flip_91FTW
      @Flip_91FTW 6 років тому

      Paul Parratt
Makes 3-4 cups and all the ingredients cost me just over £5 so barely over £1 per a cup. Or $1.20 a cup.
Unless produce is super expensive over there in the States? If it is then ignore me.

Is it true that drinking too much spinach can cause kidney stones or mess up your thyroid?

Skip the spinach, replace it with kale or bok choy.

Coach, your dating advice is amazing but this smoothie tastes like I went out front and ate my lawn. 🤣

    Try my smoothie:
    1 cup romaine lettuce
1 cup power greens or spinach
    1 mint sprig
    3 tablespoon lemon juice
    1 cup water.
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
    *mix in blender
After initial blend, add 5 ice cubes, shake it up a little, then blend again to break up the ice.
This one is all green veggies and no fructose from fruit. (Except a little from the lemon juice lol)

My God man. What else can you put in there? Kelp, cabbage, kale, seaweed, cilantro, parsley? If its green its going in.
