I wrecked on a crotch rocket. Broken ribs, fractured shoulder blade and banged up knees. No more speed for this kid. I'm about to purchase a 2006 Vulcan 900. What a sweet machine. Cruising is the only way to go. Great video and thanks for the ride. :-)
All those sport bikes zip by you. Sure they like speed. But you...you got the advantage of taking your time on your side because you have the time to take in all that beautiful scenery.
Nice video, but may I suggest that you get some proper protection on your feet and hands, because those canvas track shoes will be ripped off and shredded the moment you come off and hit the rough road, get some leather riding boots, you'll look better and feel better. If you come off the first thing you'll do is reach out to the road with your hands, then they will be flayed and the road will be wearing your skin. If you want to make a biking video then set the example by wearing the correct safety gear. And I don't care that you were only renting the bike, a real biker comes prepared to ride with safety.
I was a Honda rider for many years.... right up to owning a Goldwing. For me to switch brands or bike styles was unthinkable. However, age caught up with me and I needed a better and safer style of bike. I spotted the VN900 I bought on a bike sales page. It had very low mileage and was in top condition. The price was right, so I bought it and I have never regretted doing so. Plenty of power and is very comfortable to ride. Some people say that the VN900 is a cheap, want-to-be, Harley. I disagree, the huge price difference is obvious, but, for me, the reliability factor overrides the Harley. Cheers
@@Dallas-Nyberg thank you for sharing ! I was looking to buy a honda shafow 750 as my first cruiser, mainly because of the reliability and cheap parts, but ive seen one vulcan 900 and it looked really good,so i was wondering if its just as good when it comes to reliabilty and fuel consumption,i live in a crowded city
Initially, I looked at buying a Honda Shadow. I road tested one, then I road tested a VN900... I then decided that the VN was a far better option and bought one. Since then I have never had any mechanical issues with it... it's very comfortable - even on long rides - and it's easy on fuel. Cheers
Nice riding, I watch your video because I'm looking to buy a motorcycle, and definitely the Kawasaki Vulcan is the best option for me, I like you riding let then run, you can enjoy the view, Saludos a Mogan, y a Vecindario, tambien a Tenerife, no se enfaden lo Canariones. See ya brother. peace.
Sports bikes passing cars on curves... Yeah, I get it they are fast but won't look cool in some cages grill. On the otherhand, the VN900 was riden ultra conservatively and could have been riden faster. Those are some wide handlebars. Looks comfy!
It sure is a comfy bike! And it's much faster than you see on this video. I normally ride a bit faster if it was my bike, but this was a rental bike. Sometimes I ride a lot faster, but without cameras!
Hi, this video is shot at the west coast of Gran Canaria, the Canary Islands. The roads on this island is perfect for motorbike riding, especially if you like twisty roads.
Not a huge problem, except in sharp turns. Maybe a little more drag than my later bike Honda shadow since the Vulcan classic has the broad footpegs. Vulcan S is better this way.

I agree on cruising, although a cruiser is a handfull of work in some of the other routes on Gran Canaria with extremely twisty roads.

Awesome video!! Where was this? I'm saving up for a bike, and I've been trying to find nice places to go, and this looks like a great place!

Gran Moto !
Showing off the latest in hand and food protection, I see :)
You'd think that with all the money invested in those cameras, he could have bought a $50 pair of riding gloves and put on some boots
Nice!
That's the way.
I've heard these Vulcans drag their pegs/foot boards a lot on the turns. Have you found this to be true?

Any issues with the undercarriage scraping speed bumps?
@@MattBrandon Haven't realy tested, but I would think not.
Show!!
Damn, that road gave me claustrophobia
It sure is not like the open road.

lección: si todos te pasan,es porque vas lento
Lento y seguro.
