I'm just saying, almost every time I've gone to one of these hole in the wall sketchy looking places, it's been some of the best food I've ever had. These greasy spoons and dive bars absolutely stand out in the food scene and deserve so much more credit than what they get.

You are absolutely right. It's because these owners either just come from their countries or have been planning on opening restaurants forever and just don't have the money to properly open one but they bring all their ingredients from their ancestors and have been cooking for YEARS. They use spices and ingredients that most people here are not familiar with so when they cook people absolutely Love it. It's ashame just by the outside of the restaurant people think it's "sketchy" and these owners, chefs don't get any recognition because food from different countries are absolutely delicious. I hope more UA-cam videos like this can actually get people out to these restaurants, cuisines, etc and taste different foods from different places. I mean we are the melting pot of the world 😊

To clarify the Jamaican food. The spices in it include scotch bonnet pepper to give it heat. To what you referred to as twigs was the tyme in the food. Jamaican's do pride themselves on food cooked fresh and spicy. When it comes to mac and cheese they make sure that it's on point. I would've went with brown rice and peas instead of the yellow rice.

Hey Taylor Bros, "jerk" chicken means the spice blend, and the barbecue technique. The spice blend typically contains powdered onion and garlic, cumin, nutmeg, allspice, smoked paprika, cinnamon. Red pepper, cayenne pepper and a pinch of brown sugar round out the flavor.
According to most food historians the “Jerk” comes from a Peruvian word “Charqui” meaning dried strips of meat like what we call “Jerky”. Arawak indians from Peru migrated to Jamaica over 2500 years ago, bringing their customary foods. 🔥🍗🍗🍗🔥

Outskirts of Nashville are amazing. The "center" of Nashville, full of peddle bars and bachelorette parties, is one of my LEAST favorite cities I've ever been to. Too many "WOOOOO!!!" 🤘🏻🤘🏻 girls for me. 😆

I hate to break it to everyone... but most folk in Australia don't cook shrimp(or prawns as we call them) on the bbq. Most people buy them pre-cooked(boiled in sea water) and they're eaten cold. Great series though guys

Back in the day Fat Moe's was the place to eat in Nashville. They were even featured multiple times on Food Network. Sadly, quality has gone down considerably in the last 20ish years. I actually worked in that building next door to the place you went, back then it was a pawn shop. The super deluxe was big enough to eat on for 2-3 days. I totally agree. NO SEASONING!!!!!! All the locations went out of business except the one you went to.....Antioch isn't that great a place to visit no anyways.

It’s not scenic, but Antioch has bomb food.
