  • Gatekeeper In Amp Building Concepts - The 5 Building Blocks of RF Amplifiers
    This is a series of videos that I am personally making for a very good friend of mine that I am personally teaching & taking under my wing. I want to get him up to date on building and repairing RF amplifiers as quick as possible. If this makes it out to the public I hope that you get some enjoyment and satisfaction out of the knowledge I present here.
    This wasn't planned at all. All of this is freestyle & was made for the person that has no knowledge at all of electronic components but if you do, you may get something from this anyway.
    Let me know in the comments if you would like to see more videos of this nature.
    ⁉️ Please Read Below 👇
    Has Gatekeeper in any way helped you, gave you inspiration, helped you pass by time while waiting on your kids in-line at school or at those long lines at Mc Donald's 😅? Then buy ole Gatekeeper a Coffee:

      This is exactly what I have been looking for. Start to finish I am having trouble finding what type of relay to use and how to wire it in the system. You can not imagine how I won't to lean this thank you for your time.

      Lol yep I still till this say use that and some people thinks it is silly but it isnt when you can look at ANY resistor and know its value with out even hooking it up. :)

    The way I like to explain DC voltage is think of flow of water or plumbing.. all electrical DC voltage flows like water in the plumbing every part is like the parts in plumbing...resistors control flow of water ... Diodes ...direct the direction of flow.. electrolytes caps are like.buckets that carry the source ..diff size caps diff size bucket.. this is a way to help understand...

    • @1883GotDown
      @1883GotDown  2 роки тому +2

      Very well put...that is the exact way I picture it in my mind as well. The electrons flow from the ground to positive, in that direction. DC is so neat!

    • @justinruth9729
      @justinruth9729 2 роки тому +1

      Also it will always take the path of least resistance..just like water ..if u pour water out of a pot on top of a slope the water will take the path with least obstruction...this is the exact same way DC voltage works ...always ...

Now I have a bit of an idea of what I am doing. There really isn't a lot out there that explains the ins and outs of repairing amps.

    This is really cool man! I have an old Mini ball 60 watt cb amp with one MRF453 Pill in it. Its got a bunch of old brown carbon composition resistors in it.
    It still works but I'm told it doesn't sound that good on the air.
