I work in the Permit Parking lot at Fernie Alpine Resort. I work Friday Saturday Sunday & any holiday Mondays. I get off at 2:30 and I can ride till 4:00. Never a lineup and really great parking.

Gross lines whistler is like that as well. Owned by Vail such a joke my son whose 8 told me the other weekend I don’t want to go skiing and I asked why. His response was “we walk too far bc the parking lots are full and wait even longer at the lifts.“ So we stayed home and had a super chill weekend

Oh I'll admit if you were a suckered into buying Epic this year over Ikon yeah you probably don't have many better choices. But when people come from Texas and elsewhere they mostly end up at Vail or at least that's crowd I've seen. That's fine they can have that resort just leave the good ones to us. As someone who lives on the front range Epic pass is not worth is now that A-basin is on Ikon, cause now it has all the best resorts (and Eldo which is pretty shit but at least not on 70)

One of the many reasons I left Colorado! For my family and I to make a 1 day trip up skiing from Colorado Springs to vail, aspen, breck, keystone or any big resort like that, it costs me easily $1,000… closer to $1500 once the day is over. Moved up to Alaska and our family can go for about $400 total including gas and not wait in a single line. What a joke!!
These are the “first chairs” and people line up before they open on a powder day. Vail is huge; the line dies down by 11:45, just before the lunch crowd- I’m guessing.
I used to ski at a TINY little place in Eastern Oregon. They had 1 triple and that was it. On week days your skis never stop sliding, down the hill, right on to the lift. On good snow days waist deep powder is common. They also have a bowl you can hike into. I LOVE IT!!!
