Great info, thank you. We have a 529 account that has enough to roughly pay the first year, after his scholarship. I was going to do this, and worry about loans starting for his 2nd year. Is this the smart way to go?
What if the student is not 18? How does that affect the ability to apply for a loan other than Parent Plus? Also, do the top 3 private loans you list also allow the same payments terms as NJCLASS & Parent Plus (interest only until graduation)?
