Thanks for sharing part of California with us. As of today we are in lock down in the UK. No more model flying for a while, unless l can justify walking whilst flying it! As we are allowed to go out for exercise once per day. Take care.

That was Awesome Ali! Way to shred the slope at that special undisclosed place. I was flying my fabric aircraft just down the way on that same day. It got even better as the day progressed.

I used to own and fly a dragonfly. I flew it off of Long Beach bluff (near 2nd street?). It was my first aileron slope plane. I didn't know how to do rolls and I tried doing my first roll, over at the hill in Playa Del Rey behind Layola Marymount College (before they built condos there). I used to really like that Layola Marymount hill... Started the roll and lost orientation and panicked and pulled up while it was upside down and within a split second, it went into the ground and shattered. Such a shame. It was such a nice plane. I stopped flying after I almost hit someone while I was landing at Long Beach. Freaked me out. Thirty years later I'm getting back into the sport after being bored and looking for something to do during the pandemic. It's good to be building and flying again. Right now I'm flying powered Crash Test Hobby wings (Pinata, Vertigo and Titan) over at Field of Dreams Park in San Pedro and Long Beach El Dorado Park. My plan is to do some slope soaring over at Yorba Linda/Chino Hills State park glider hill.

Great flying, and a fabulous soaring site. We were due to come to LA in September, and would have loved to fly. But with the second spikes of Covid in June, plus the race riot problems, we chickened out I'm sorry. Keep the flying vids coming guys, I love em 😃 Keep healthy, keep safe. Dave W

San Pedro overlooking Kay Fiorentino ? .... I thought it may have been Torrey Pines, but Google maps allowed me to pick the spot further north with your view of Catalina Island..... ? looks like a great place to fly

Moved to Idaho the only thing I miss is the ocean. With the virus going on I just fly my little Park Zone Wildcat in a little park near my house and looking for a spot to fly my Ava. Stay safe
