Hello, I love your walking tours. I think they're very refreshing and informative. Question: which kind of gear are you using?
    Thank you very much 👍

      Thanks You so much!
For this video I used my iPhone13 and a DJI Osmo Mobile 3.
I prefer to use my MOZA AirCross 3 because the DJI shows a bit more bounce. However, the MOZA is a good bit larger and more difficult to transport. The DJI is smaller, lighter, and easier to setup.
Here is a 4K walk using my iPhone13 and my MOZA AirCross 3 -> ua-cam.com/video/M8_HcDA2fng/v-deo.html.

How much time you spend on the walking tour? I will be going there next month.

The temple and temple area we recommend about an hour. Then another hour or two to explore the shopping streets. A total of about 3 hour, depending on how much shipping you want to do.

What is the best way to get to the temple from kyoto station?

The easiest thing to do is to take Bus 86 (Stand D2 at Kyoto Station Bus Terminal) to Kiyomizu Michi bus stop. It takes somewhere between 15 and 20 minutes depending on traffic.

Hi! Just wondering the best streets to take from Kiyomizumichi bus stop towards what looks like Hokan-ji Pagoda (or is it actually Yasaka?). Google map directions says to walk along Matsubara-dori to Kiyomizudera which doesn't seem to pass-by the Pagoda, Ninenzaka or Sannenzaka Path! I must be the only one totally lost!
Also, if planning to go to Pontocho alley afterwards, would it make more sense to take a more direct path to Kiyomizudera and passby Hokan-ji Padoga on the way to Pontocho Alley? Or is the view not the same... Thanks!

Personally, I think passing by Hokan-ji on the way to Kiyomizu-dera is the preferred route. That’s the way I went in the video.
I recommend a pass through Yasaka Shrine, via back streets, on the way to Shijo-dori. Walk down Shijo-dori, over the bridge, and then take a right onto Pontocho. I would also recommend a visit to Tatsumibashi on the way to Pontocho.
Tatsumibashi is best in daylight or dusk. Pontocho is nice at night. Enjoy your trip.
