Completed the full interview. Would have been really nice if you would have ask about his technique of writing screenplay. His kind of movies need deep depth of transforming a scence to the abstraction because finally he wants to convey some idea to screen. It would have been also great if you would have asked about some contemporary directors like Dardenne Xavier Dolan Bruno Dumant or Heneke. Only one point Bhanu Banerjee Oshima Mizugachi all existed before 1995 :). Personally Oshima is one of my favourite director. And whenever they show Bhanu Goenda Jawhar Assitant in zee cinema they are guaranteed tobhave me in the audience. So I understand what he meant by taking Bhanu Banerjee as ideal director. Again many thanks for this fantastic interview. And really requesting you for Indranil Chowdhury and Aditya Vikram interview. Looking forward to them to bring back lost glory and ling live Bangla cinema.

A film cannot be made by keeping in mind any film festival. I do not think he said he made cinema keeping film festival in mind. He said he positioned his film thinking about the nature of film festival. If some other film director puts in "bonchito banchod" targeting a middle class in mind on a person who most probably will be not able to pronounce juktakhor then a director who is making a film without any expectation of getting back any return why cannot he target a specific film festival. Watch Garbage and see the honesty in the film. It is hard to fathom that film but talks honestly without any commercial element.
