- September 7, 1997 - Sixteen-year-old TK tries to steal from the Petersons and Jerri decides to save him from the criminal justice system. She brings him into the Peterson home as Robert thinks Jerri is trying to replace Michael, who left for college. Zaria chooses between Shakim and Skye.

Suzanne Douglas was the greatest actress in show business. 1994 the inkwell and 1998 how Stella got her groove back were her best performances. It is sad she didn't get her credit and flowers 🌺🌹 is rightly deserved.

lol back then you never questioned these sitcoms haha now I'm spoiled with these modern day shows . For instance , he's not going to jail for stealing a camera especially at 16. lmao and when Robert got shot and was in a coma, when he woke up noone called a nurse hahah he just ripped out his oxygen and started talking haha and everything was good again. one of my fav shows from back then tho
To be fair, MANY People who are commenting now were CHILDREN when this Season originally aired, so they wouldn't have been able to tell how unrealistic it all was. As Adults, they see how unrealistic it all was. :)

From what I read, it's wasn't his decision to leave the show, TPTB wanted to move the show in a different direction, with the T.K. character, therefor he was fired from the show, but he still got a residual check every week, since co-wrote and performed the theme song.
@@WWAHP Who and what is TPTB and why exactly did they fire the actor or did they fire the actor? That sucks big time and I can't help but wonder how it would have been if Michael and TK were both there at the same time? I always wanted to see them converse since they never did on the show.
TPTB stand for "The Powers That Be" and I would've like to have seen Michael & T.K. interact with each other too, but the producers felt since T.K. was going to be a big brother figure to the younger siblings, they didn't need the Michael character, and this is why Kenny Blank was let go from the show.

I watched an interview where Kenny Blank/Kenn Michael (Michael Peterson) talks about how he was written out of the show as an actor but they kept him around just to do the music for the daydream scenes. Crazy they only mentioned his character once in this episode, if I’m not mistaken.

I heard it was his decision to leave, the actor that played Michael wanted to go to college and that's how they wrote him out of the show. I hope it wasn't anything like termination.
What's known for sure, it's he decided to leave the show, it wasn't they removed his character.
If someone finds him on internet and asks him what happened, probably, that'll be the last chance to know more about it, as far as I could see, he keeps working on the industry, although, doing mainly (only?) voice acting.
He wanted to do directing and music . The series did a poor job with the transition of Tyrone Burton . I feel like it was a Jumping The Shark moment. Had Kenny Blank not left , the series would not have been canceled. The worse part , was that when Season 5 premiered, Faizon Love had already walked away from the series . By the time , it had been a whole year....and the show came back as a mid season replacement in the summer of 1999 . To make up for lack of comic relief , Kelly Perine was added to the cast , with disastrous results .
