- GILLIGAN'S ISLAND in the Old West starring Bob Denver! Just as the castaways spent every episode trying to get off the island, in DUSTY'S TRAIL they struggle to find their way out of the wilderness on the Oregon Trail.
NOT SO MAGNIFICENT SEVEN: Searching for a dentist to treat Dusty's toothache, the wagoners find a town that appears to have been abandoned very suddenly. Unknown to them, it is under siege by three outlaws. - Фільми й анімація
Love it....F Troop mets Gilligan's Island meets Petticoat Junction. 🤣
I'm pretty sure i commented before but this is very good show 👏 and its got the gorgeous Lori Saunders 😍 ❤ 💕 maybe the only reason i watch this and Pettycoat Junction ✌😋
To me what makes a good show is how much empathy you feel to the characters and the situation they're in. I felt sorry for the castaways. I knew it wasn't real but I always thought what if I was stranded on an island and no one knew where I was. I don't feel the same way for the people in this show. So they got separated from their wagon train, big deal. They going to California. Just head west.
I watched this a couple of times until my sister pointed out the similarities to Gilligan's Island. The two young ladies, Jeannine Riley and Lori Saunders played in Petticoat Junction. Billie Jo and Bobbie Jo respectively.
Yeah but not at the same time they are the first Billy Joe and second bobby Joe
You mean you didn’t notice the similarities yourself?? It’s essentially “Gilligan’s Island” out West. Much too similar.
This show is actually quite enjoyable, and I am a big fan of GILLIGAN'S ISLAND, which could be a factor in why I have a soft spot for it. Sadly there are still some episodes missing, but I'm grateful you were able to upload most of them.
Thanks Pizza Flix 😄 I'm watching Every Episode You have up & then I'll watch them again 😍I Love Dusty's Trails 😍 I'm writing every episode down for me to see 😅 Thumbs Up for You 😄 Thanks💓 Stay Well 💓🐎🐎
I saw the irony of this being a Gilligan.s Island parady as well, in an instant. It's fun.
It was aired around the same time as Here Come The Brides. Mid 70.s
M. Illinois.
A milestone of a masterpiece. Calling Tina Louise!
Thanks for watching! May the Sauce be with you.
Thanks for uploading this episode
I never Saw this!! I really Enjoyed This Episode 😄
This is great! Thank you for sharing!
This show is by far way better than any crap out today.
older shows tend to be better.
Thanks for uploading this .
Saw this on Retro TV yesterday. Makes Gilligan's Island look like Pulitzer Prize stuff.
Mahalo for sharing!
I really did not care for this show. I never knew it existed just happened to run across it, but love finding old forgotten television shows so for that I thank you.
I loved this show
It was not a worthy successor to Gilligan's Island (*who* could notice the cut-and-paste?)... YET it is still silly, fun romp which allows us to see Denver and Tucker show their comedic chops! The lesser known passengers they are charged with protecting and guiding are pretty enjoyable also. Hardly a "classic" but a nice, relaxing watch!
Oh this brings back memories
First time I ever saw Gilligan's Stagecoach. To bad he got off the Island.
I have absolutely no recollection of this show. Oh well, thanks for making this available.
Maybe Gilligan was a desendant of Dusty.
I love it!!!! TY
I saw this series on DVD 21 years ago with four eps of the show strung together like a movie and minus the laugh track. It was really good that way but the laugh track does not hurt it at all.
Just found this. I have only watched the intro so far, but it sounds really interesting already. Old shows are usually pretty good, too. Gonna give it a try.
Unfortunately, “Dusty’s Trail” is an obvious knockoff of “Gilligan’s Island”, which is why I could not really get into it. Made me miss “Gilligan’s Island” too much!
I definitely remember this show. Gilligan's Island set in the old west. Then again, Sherwood Schwartz was one of the producers on this. Bob Denver played another similar character a couple years later on Far Out Space Nuts. No, he wasn't typecast.
l never saw this episode , it is not on any of my collections thanks for up loading
Pure gold ty
Maryann! We need you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I knew this was Gilligan's Island in the old west, but.....wow....
Dusty has to be a relative of Gilligan.
A reunion of out of work actors.
Pop 114. Wonder how old mom is? You had me right there.
I think Ginger looks a lot better here. The Howell's are about the same, and Gilligan is still Gilligan.
???? NO one looks better than Ginger.
@@PizzaFLIX just a joke. It's all good!
@@magneto7930 OK... Ginger was my first TV crush. May the Sauce be with you!
@@PizzaFLIX oh believe me, she was one of mine too, along with Mary Ann, Batgirl, Catwoman, etc. Geez they all looked gorgeous back then!
@@magneto7930 and let's not forget "That Girl."
The ONLY good thing about this show is..........Lori Saunders!!!!!!!!!!! What a babe!!!!!!!!!!! Especially when she was on Petticoat Junction!!
l met her once, super nice lady
Daryl Brunscheen You are 100 correctamundo.
She was extremely hot!
Betty Jo was my favorite.
And if you didn't catch it, the gal on the right at 1:49 was Billie Jo Bradley for the first two years of Petticoat Junction. Two of the three sisters are in this.
I like this show I enjoyed the first episode I do not care if it is Gilligan's island in the west. that does not matter to me.
Lovely Show from yesteryear !
They basically used the exact template for Gillian's island and made it worse.the 2rich people, the fluzzie, the smart girl all American,Gillian and the skipper ! But in a cheese ball slapstick forum
I wonder if anyone realizes the two girls played on petticoat junction.
But not together!
Yeah, blonde played the original/first Billie Jo (eldest sister) and brunette played the second Bobbie Jo (middle sister) on Petticoat Junction.
Why were there four directors for this episode?
I'm usually against laugh tracks telling viewers where they're supposed to laugh, but I think it would've only helped this... as I have no idea where the heck the jokes are. =)
On comedy TV shows, I miss the laugh track when it isn’t there. Seems empty without it somehow. Maybe it’s because the show isn’t funny enough without it. I don’t know……
Well, it's dumber than Gilligan's Island, but not by all that much.
The theme song is the best part.
Saturday morning at 7;am 1974 WCAX TV Channel 3 Burlington Vermont .
Grand father
This is a show I vaguely remember and always mistaking it for Gilligan's Island Gone Wild West. But the joke's or not as funny as Gilligan's Island at all.
It fell SPLAT! because it was TOO much like “Gilligan’s Island”. Had “Dusty’s Trail” come first, it might have been more successful. One would think the producers could have come up with a more original concept than this total knockoff.
AAAUUUYYYAASS IN DDDS.🤗🤗🤔😳😳🤗👍👍👍
5 writers? 4 directors?
I thought it was OK as a kid 20 minutes of this is more psychologically therapeutic than some true crime and comment rant. But it must have been the lovely ladies starring though.
After watching the castaways of Gilligan's islands desperately try to reach civilization, survive headhunters, a big game hunter and a volcano - This groups plights just seems so menial.
Where were the characters Natuma, Indian Boy, Marshal, Rancher, Hired Hand and Jake?
Pre or post Gilligan’s Island?
post. Similar characters and lost theme.
Does anyone notice there are more cast members listed in the end credits, than are actually in the episode?
Don’t be a smarty pants.
@@PizzaFLIX - It made me wonder if this was edited down and we missed a bunch of the episode.
So, they didn't do anything with all that dynamite they had stored in the saloon?
I always wondered what happened to billy jo ,I saw she used to be on hee haw and wish she wouldn't have left petticoat junction probably got married . I think the guy in the derby hat played the king in the movie about Marie Antoinette.
The guy in the brother hat is the real life father of General hospital's Laura
What the hell is Maynard G Krabbs doing lost in the old west?
He's out looking for some more petrified frogs to add to his collection...
He somehow got stranded on an Island, too. Maybe Maynard, Gilligan, and Dusty are related.
"Little pal"
I know right. How sad.
Why would Bob Denver have agreed to this dribble? Gilligan’s Island on land.
There is this green paper people tend to use it for currency
Bob smoked a lot of weed back then. He was probably too baked to notice the similarities.
Lulu is hot as is of course Betsy and so is Mrs Brookhaven too actually. One other ep had all 3 comely ladies doing a show girl dance for a sheriff.
Forrest tucker doesn't mix well with Denver....timing alone is bad.
Now... had they crashed a train...
been stranded...
They could have called it...
"Dusty's TRAIN WRECK"
Interesting. I know that Tina Louise used Marilyn Monroe as an inspiration for her Ginger character. I think Jeannine Riley was going for May West for her Lulu. At least she tried to be a little different. However, I have no idea what they were thinking when they decided to do this series. Being lost on an Island is one thing but to be lost in the west???? You got to be kidding. They run across people all the time in there exploits in the west. Just ask for directions to Calofornia. Why would they think using the same formula for Gilligan's Island would work here?
Bat materson ?
This is much like Gilligan's Island but this was way more believable. I think this show may have been 60-70 percent realistic to the real Wild West. It is not totally accurate but then again no western on TV ever was completely accurate to the bonafide wild west. This show is way more believable than F-Troop ever was either.
Jeannine Riley n Lori Saunders were of course on Petticoat Junction. Pretty lame without the laugh track.
Very odd for a show of that era to not have a laugh track.
Thank God for "odd", eh?
Glade i never watched this show before //////// just plain bad ///////////////////////
...bolt action rifles...flintlock rifles....they sure didn't try very hard with this show.
As punishment, inmates should be forced to watch these episodes while in "the hole." this show is plain GOD AWFUL.
They wouldn't have to force me. I love it!
SAD
...
No inmates would like it, trust they have nothing to do in the hole , i know i recently retied from corrections and worked the hole.
Lori sanders is a favorite of mine.
Her makeup kit included a fake moustache?!
14:30
show no good pu I no like it I turn tv off and watch blank screen more better
This is the absolute worst show I have ever seen in my life...
But thanks anyway
...
Gilligan rehash with no sex appeal, t and a would have helped it along
The blonde was ok for her age
not funny....horrible
I'd watch anything as a kid, but "Dusty's Trail" had such a ... defeated quality. No budget, obvious ripoff concept, aging actors. I felt bad for them. It ran on Saturday afternoons in Detroit while other channels showed sports. No one was watching, but they had to run something.
Even the laugh track didn't find this funny-sorry Gilligan!
Wow, it took five people to write this piece of crap
I believe this is part of a few episodes strung together to make a movie.
A grade Z ripoff of Gilligan's Island by Elroy Schwartz, the brother of Sherwood Schwartz, where he and brother tag teamed this monstrosity of a syndication version of the previous formula that well served Gilligan's Island. If anything, this really bad program managed to elevate Gilligan's Island to appear as Shakespeare or Citizen Kane quality by comparison. It is difficult to determine the worst part of Dusty's Trail, whether it is Forest Tucker's attempts to channel the Skipper, Bob Denver poorly reprising his Gilligan role, the saloon girl who was supposed to be like Ginger, the really horrid ripoffs of the Howells, or the Professor wannabe. - At least this show is so bad that is laughable.
Lori Saunders is so gorgeous
