- If I'm being honest with myself, for the last few years I thought I would never go to College. And I didn't. Not only that, I consider it one of my best decisions ever. So what the hell am I doing in College right now?
Here's the story of how I became a College student even though during my 'gap year' I never thought I would.

Just stumbled across this video and can't stress enough how good an advice this is. I went straight to college after finishing school. Studied a major that interested me but had zero perspective for a productive career. So I dropped out. I felt like the biggest loser for not having found my ideal career path at the age of 20. I grew up thinking that the only correct way to live life was going to school, then college, do your masters, get a great job, buy a house, start a family.
So I worked for a few years, then started travelling and now, in my late 20s I am starting college once more. Way later in life than most people (some say it's too late now) but with so much more valuable experience that makes me 100% confident that this is the right choice for me.
I should have given myself more time to figure out life after school but I was way to stuck in my own and other's expectations and way too scared to stray off the path.
Now I tell all the young people I meet to not stress out too much and to go take a gap year and that it's okay to not have life figured out at 20.
