There is going to be more conference realignment, if mid tier teams want to stay relevant they need to beef up their programs fast. Things are getting crazy
This is similar to an art auction, not a functional supply/demand commodity market. Values could be anything, no limits. Values are based on desire, not fundamental factors of production and consumption
I agree with a comment I read on another forum: This year's Michigan has chances to be a playoff team with a quarterback the caliber of Quinn Ewers. Is that worth $6 million? I say yes.
The way this the way this SIL stuff is going. I wonder if it will translate to the academics as well. Whoever makes straight A’s and it’s a 4.2 student will be able to go to the school their choice even if they get paid to do so.
Why FANS are paying for this is astonishing to me.
Lots of the ones paying have hoarded money their whole lives and now have more than they know what to do with (Phil Knight for example).

I've gone casual as a college football fan. I hate what it's turning into and I can no longer feed that frustration by following all this.
He should hold out for 8 million
If true, he would be a fool not to take it. That is more than he would make with an NFL Rookie contract and Arch is starting at Texas next year.
Money and greed never end well.

We offered CJ Stroud 10 million to stay 1 extra year but he turned it down.
GEORGIA OFFERED HIM 6MIL
