Everybody, the original song was composed and recorded by the band 'Jotugriher Pakhi' from Presidency College, 1989-92 batch. It is indeed a translation of 'Billy Rose' (not literally) as credited in the original sleeve. The translation was by Rajarshi Dasgupta, and there were many others in the band like Souryo, Dipanjan, Teddy, Bunty and now famous Pritam, who deserve the credit for this song. It is dedicated to Presidency and the early days of IC
Vishwa, Kaushik and the rest of the band need to be thanked very much for making this song available once more, along with a video. I know others, another Kaushik (Babla) who did a beautiful recorded version of this song, and many others who’ve kept it alive. My thanks to them - there’s no need for any of us to make a monopoly out of this.

one of the most mature video produced by a Bengali band.kudos.the character 'arjun sen' reminds me of the character 'khijir ali' in Aktarujjaman Illias's novel 'chilekothar sepai'.there khijir a rickshaw puller was drawn into Bangladesh's struggle for liberation, by watching the upsurge of people, most of whom were students.
Kaushik sarkar did of course sing it in the original album, with a lovely harmonica; and he's done well to re-record it once more, oddly enough and merrily too,, without any credit given to the original band/composers.
