- Ben Platt explained why Ellen has been a huge inspiration regarding his sexuality, in relation to creating art as a singer/songwriter. The 25-year-old also talked about the possibility of becoming the youngest EGOT if he wins an Oscar, and what it was like working on Ryan Murphy's upcoming Netflix series, "The Politician."

I love Ben so much and I love him in the musical, but he isn’t a teenager though and he definitely doesn’t look like a teenager 🤷♀️ I won’t be mad if he’s cast, but I don’t think he fits the role in the movie.
