I guess thinking about it, the reason Koyuki seems to appeal to a lot of people is because she still has that childlike wonder and excitement we had for the simple things. Look how invested she gets in the claw machine, or how excited she is for finding a four leaf clover. Her reaction reminds us of a purer and more innocent time in our lives, which is why we react so strongly. Frankly, it’s something a lot of people need to feel.

She's mostly being treated as more of a computer than an actual human, being put papers in front of her all day and removed when she solves the problem on it by instinct, before she can even actually read the thing, and mentions being consistently called even in the middle of that for stupid stuff like "hey I forgot my password". These types of working conditions are illegal in many countries due to being mind-numbing and mostly unethical. Before and after work, she is forced to live in a tiny room with zero distractions of any sort and has no choice but to stare at a wall for hours. If she tries to leave outside of work or Schale duty, a unit of literal elite spec ops (C&C) is sent to chase her and bring her back. She'd managed to smuggle a few books and such in her cell so she would have something to do... only for Sensei to snitch as soon as she puts her trust in him (dick move). The reason she's happy and hyper when we see her, is that it's basically the only times she can leave her confines and have a little bit of fun, so she makes the most of it I could go deeper into the psychological aspect, but it's a youtube comment section, so I'll refrain 😅

I can already picture her interactions with Iroha. Her first instinct is to hug her incredibly fluffy hair. Because of course that's what an energetic child would do. If they see something fluffy, they'd want to pet it and hug it forever and ever. And besides. Opposites attract. Koyuki is overly cute and hyperactive while Iroha is lazy and takes things at a slow pace. Seeing them interact with each other would be awesome.
