- With the constant talk of Nottingham Forest looking to bring in a new manager to replace current boss Nuno, todays reports are suggesting that Fiorentina manager Vincenzo Italiano has declined the opportunity to become the new Nottingham Forest manager. Despite the allure of the Premier League, Italiano has expressed his preference to remain in Italy, continuing his journey with Fiorentina.
Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis is not slowing down in his search for a new manager. Reports suggest that he has enlisted the help of super agent Jorge Mendes to find a suitable replacement for the current boss, Nuno Espírito Santo, should they decide to part ways.
Mangala looks set to complete his transfer to French side Lyon in the next few weeks, with news breaking that Lyon's obligation to buy the player for £20m has been triggered. With Forest already receiving £10m as a loan fee from the January move, do you think £30m is a good price overall for the midfielder.

Bloody ridiculous, 300+ mil on players and Cooper out even though he didn’t choose half the squad and now Nuno out FFS 🤦🏻♂️… it’s seems that just as we’re formulating a team we switch it all up again… we didn’t get the results we wanted but at least Nuno bought in attacking play.. just needed to work on defence and get a decent striker.

Had a thought related to the Mangala PSR issue, when we signed Chris Wood, the 4M loan fee would have been in the 22/23 season, and then the 15M sale fee we all thought was just in this 23/24 season, but he actually signed for 2 years, so his fee would be amortized as 7.5M this season and another 7.5M next season. Does anyone know if this was properly accounted for by those who worked out the "we are about 15M short at the moment" situation?

I think Nuno feels incompatible with our club. It looked like he was blind-sighted by the PSR when it hit and probably doesn’t feel like he’s had enough time to fall in with the fans etc. The clubs approach to transfers and lack of professionalism would seem to me to turn him off, just a haunch. I’ve not been convinced by him personally even though I can’t see how changing again really helps us and imagine if he were actually committed to the club and was allowed to mould his team I’m sure we’d do a lot better next season. Would love to see our club become more strategic and take longer term decisions instead of shooting from the hip all the time. Confident we can improve next season whatever happens. COYR!

Sadly we threw away our chance of stability and a long term project. Nuno is the first of a long line to come of hire-and-fire managers. In truth that's been the Forest way. We seem to have forgotten that Cooper was the first manager in decades to start and end a season.
Cooper was the first and only manager in years to get what Forest are. Nuno will be just as committed to the next club he works for, and the one after that.
Marinakis clearly wants us to be customers and wants our manager to be an employee, that's why Cooper was shut out by the owner.
I fear that the next step he wants is a move to the Marinakis stadium where we can all become consumers.
Don't know why you're so convinced it's Nuno who's weighing up his options, Wolfie, when we all know Marinakis has zero loyalty to his managers. The sale of Mangala, even for £20m, is NOT enough to cover our PSR shortfall. His book value is about £5m now, so that'd be a £15m profit. But the PSR shortfall is about £25m-£30m. I've posted the PSR calculation previously. We would need to sell another player this June for major money. Imo, that player should be Yates (his contract expires after next season, and as an academy product any transfer fee is 100% profit). By selling Mangala, Yates and Worrall this June, we can meet the PSR shortfall and therefore avoid having to sell Murillo or MGW.
What are we gonna do without our number 10? Our whole thing is built around mgw - Could we go in for someone like Gabriel Sara at Norwich? Aim higher? Shift Danilo up? Dunno

I'm Nuno Out - he's improved our playing style, and we've had bad luck, but I don't think he's the best option for us. If there's a chance of bagging De Zerbi, or Potter, I'd far rather have one of them.
If Se Santos goes bring in David Moyes, I think He though an okder manager now, compared to the younger man these days favoured. I think He Moyes could tap into the ethos of the club, and bring out the potential of raw young untapped talent local talent, as well as over seas players
