I have the binbok joycon but the transparent ones and they are absolutely amazing so comfortable they feel very high quality and it has a dpad, rumble, beautiful led lights and motion controls. Its definitely great product and a replacement in my opinion especially because it’s more affordable. Great video
Thank you so much! I’m loving these so far. I wanna try the transparent ones next. I think they look so cool!
These do look WAY more comfortable than the original joy-cons! Great review as always, also loving the top down shots!
Thank you my dude🙏🏻 they’d be super comfy for those long Animal Crossing sessions😉
@@BaxTechYT Yeah buddy, need those comfy controllers for those Animal Crossing sessions haha!
Ive been skeptical abt buying these but after watching your video you convinced me to buy these, thanks dude!
Thank you for this bro highly appreciated! This is going to my cart now.
I’m GETTING THESE FOR CHRISTMAS 🎉 glad to know they are really good for the switch
Great review you're funny! You made me a believer and im getting some shipped. I too have the joycon drift ugh. Btw is that a beagle at the end 😄.
🤣🤣that is a beagle, Little Acey! Glad you liked the video!! Let me know how you like your binboks. I’ll have a full review coming soon!
I got these and the zen pro switch controller from Target, and I'll say without a doubt they are both leagues better than what Nintendo puts out. The vibration is better and they are both way more comfortable and cheaper.
I got them yesterday, the joysticks are already ruined somehow. They crack and stops whenever I use them. Idk what to do, do you have any tips? I spent $80 for them for all the shipping and stuff pls help
I would love to see some long term reviews on this... I have my binbok for about 6 months. first set , the ZR button went out after normal usage. contacted them and got a replacement set of controllers. now the L3 function doesnt work on the stick, instead the "up" button on the D-pad shows either up or L3 when doing the button test...
I love the feel and grip of the controllers, but quality doesn't seem to be all that great to be honest. probably going for a Hori set or something similar.
I will do a long term review after a few months of use! But quality control is the hardest part about things like this. So far mine are going strong, but you never know what you’re going to get
@@BaxTechYT great 👍
Both sets had a lesser “clicky” ZR button and on the first it went out.
I went through a fieuw reviews and heard similar stories on not knowing what you will get.
As said, great product I just wish the quality was a bit better 🤷♂️😅
But hey, no joy con drift 👌
The issue that I have with the big or small Bin Boks is that they can easily slide up and off. It's like the locking mechanism isn't made well at all. After almost a year of owning and using the big BinBoks, connection issues plagued it. Keeps saying to connect them and it's frustrating.
I can for sure see that happening to mine after a while! There’s a little bit of play in the left one. Hopefully if they made a third iteration, they can really hone in on some of the quality control issues!
that Binbok joypads look exactly the same with the iine genius joypads, right?
Great review! Do these controllers have motion control to play games like Zelda SS or the upcoming Switch Sports?
Thank you! They do have motion controls. So far I have only tried them with Mario Galaxy, but they seem to be just as good as the standard Joycon! I’ll have a full review coming soon!
Do you know a case which is slim but at the same time fits the switch with the binbok slim joy cons?
So Satisfye actually makes a slim case(technically used for their satisfye grip) which would be big enough to hold the switch with the binbok's attached!
Does anyone find the shoulder buttons to be too clicky?
Can these work on the regular switch? I bought a joy split joycon controller but it doesn't work on TV mode. It can only work when it's connected to the switch. So I tried it and idk if I have to link it with my switch but it doesn't work. I don't want to have to backtrack back and forth over ordering controllers and other devices. What works with this and what doesn't?
Yes, so the switch I have is the original launch model! These joycons work connected, not connected, and have motion controls. I’m working on a full review soon for them, but they’re solid for sure!
What is the difference between these and the bigger version (besides size)
Other than size, it’s the button layout. The original version has the extra buttons on the back(kinda pro controller style)
I heard that the deadzone on the bigger version, especially on the right analogue stick was quite bad in comparison to the hori spp for example, did you find this on the slim version as well?
@@nizartabbakh1863 do you think they fixed it with a new version or are you just not sensitive enough to realise @Bax Tech ? Because they definitely have deadzones at least the normal/old version, havent really heard of an update that fixed this. Maybe under the radar?
Do these keep your hands off the Switch or should I go for the larger pair for that? I have slightly larger hands. I have the Pokemon OLED Switch and want to keep wear off the back.
Hmm I would probably go for the larger pair. My fingers are long, but the larger pair would for sure help you. Or look into getting a satisfye grip
@@BaxTechYT switch joycons feel cramped to me. Would the satisfye grip help with that? I've been using tabletop mode and a Pro controller.
Question I didn't see mentioned... will these charge when docked? Or do you have to charge them separately with usb???
Did the deadzones get fixed by now? With an software or Hardware update? (v2.. or so)
@@BaxTechYT thanks, did you check with a program (controller tester) or is it possible you just didnt notice because you didnt play games that require this precision?
@@cokakada1189 I didn’t check with a program. On my switch, I mainly just play indies and platformers. With those I didn’t have any issues!
Hey I was wondering how good the D-pad is on this version because I heard that on the original BinBok joycons it was pretty bad but it could have improved with these new slim versions
I’m really loving the Dpad on this version! Still working up a full review. But I’ve been testing these with a lot of 2d platformers, and they feel great. Not as good as 8bitdo, but I would say it’s a close second!
have drift after some time of use?
No drift yet! Other reviews that have used them longer than I have also haven’t experienced drift. The joysticks are built more like a standard controller, so I bet these will go a long time before drift happens!
What cases fit this one?
I’m honestly not sure! If you buy a big case that can house controllers and what not as well, im sure that would! Or maybe even the satisfye grip case!
They really should have labeled the slimmer ones different from the bigger ones.
@@BaxTechYT there's an updater app on their website and it labels the slim ones as slim and the regular ones just RGB joycons so I guess that's a little bit better.
Ooh interesting. Maybe if they make a third iteration they'll add a distinguishing name for each one on amazon
I love how these video reviewers say they're the best choice but don't do "1 month later" reviews lol. I got a set of the Hori joycons and the left joystick went out 2 days after the amazon return by date.
I do have a follow up review for these! Still holding up well. But of course with any of these random Amazon brands, it can be hit or miss
@@BaxTechYT I bought the Hori split pad pro new and 2 days after the return policy ended the left stick stopped working. Now on my second set. Let's see if I get 2 months out of them. For them being a licensed Nintendo product they sure are trash.
@@corysmith6990 I’ve heard bad things about the Hori! I just don’t like that they have to be connected and have very limited functionality
How nintendo fans put up with this i dont understand. Joy con drift still a thing after 5 years and they still dont care.
It’s a major rip for sure. Thankfully we’re FINALLY getting some solid alternatives!
If you mention it, Nintendo fanboys just blame you for "not looking after your controllers".
Nintendo deserve to be roasted for the joycons, they're releasing a faulty product, and then profiting off it since people buy replacements so often.
I agree! There was a lawsuit a while back for this, but I guess Nintendo found a way out of it🤣
The binboks were so tight fitting they made the rails looser when using the originals again...anyone else have this happen?
I was on the fence about these. Been checking out different joycons and when I saw these I decided to jump on YT to check em out.
I gotta say, you sold them better than the seller did LOL. Heck, I placed the order halfway through your vid.
Thanks for the review. Really appreciate it!!
🤣thank you so much dude! I hope you love them!! Which color did you go with?
