The first one, He was pretty much wishing death on others that he felt didn't deserve to be alive when others died. This second one, he said "Let's try something differently" and instead of wishing more lives to be taken, he's wishing for time to be "rewinded" or just things having different outcomes.
false narrative....you're twisting it a bit buddy
@@lesegom7172 how is it false? In the first he is literally saying give us this life and take that life to God ..
False opinion… “buddy” ✌🏽
Dee Bee you're on point with your explation
EXACTLY!!! Someone pays attention
It's difficult to compare the two because they are fundamentally different. This one reflects more on trending topics over the last several years while the original focuses more on who died vs. who should be dead and just hits harder because it's done with so much emotion. This piece is bold on its own because he makes his stance perfectly clear on several major topics while most people in the mainstream skate around it with generic, lawyer-proofed comments. No one can deny the man's talent tho.
Minor detail Stevie... the title says "How did IS stack up?"
Yeah Bizzle heard this one and said “This one don’t even need a response.”
Sadly underwhelmed. After the Christian rapper bizzles response to the 1st Devils work song which was 🔥 I had really hoped that you might come back with something fresh and awe-inspiring. Unfortunately I think it's probably best if you just left the pen and paper in the desk for this one Joyner. But no disrespect, you are one of my favourite rappers.
Thank you, Stevie . Always gold from you man
feel the same, i don't agree with him alot on this one, but it's good that he puts music out
He went from "Ye Not Crazy" to "Ye Mind is Dead" really really fast after they removed that song from the various platforms
Kanye mind is dead because of what he said
@@jasonrichardson1999 maybe your Brain is dead for not doing your due diligence
I mean, Ye self destructed really really fast too.
@@jasonrichardson1999Kanye has wild bipolar episodes about once every two years or so, everyone was praising Donda, his live shows and his Drink Champs episode in 2021 and then he did all that shit last year after that. People are going to keep flip flopping on Kanye but I’ll say enjoy his music but just ignore his interviews most of the time because he’s off the deep end
@@MiddleAgedBob what exactly did Ye say that was so bad? Don't give me the "He called Hitler Good" or whatever. There's context behind that publicized phrase
3:30 This was the hardest and funniest thing ever 'F*ck that' You always crack me up Sir Knight
Respect. No pandering, no fake yes men/hype men shit or nothing. Just real and honest.
I liked the song and what he tried to do with it but didn't feel it like i did with the first one. I think calling it devil's work 2 made peoples expectations go much higher cause that one was such a powerful song
Both are powerful songs
Personally I like the second one more
Yeah I think it matches or exceeds the first one
First more hits different I feel it was more emotion in it compared to this one
I don't like this one at all, he's removing all accountability from most of those situations and blaming God. Then switching it up to say it the devils work, which is confusing,at least for me.
Also the part about making Chris rock make a different joke is absolutely ridiculous lol
Gotta be real I was expecting more of a reaction from you than “his first was better”. Isn’t the point of this where you break it down and compare for us?
Not exactly much to breakdown in this one..
Nah this 1 was whack
Shit was too democratic and focused on only 1 race.
Title says “how does it compare”. He said it’s aight. Question answered lmao
This song was so bad. This is exactly what I was expecting
If you listened to this and heard what Bizzle said in the rebuttal to the 1st, Joyner aint heard anword that was said.
This was basically a dedication track.
Juice WRLD - Object Freestyle (PLEEEEAAAASE IVE BEEN ASKING FOR AGES, I been subbed since 50k subs lol)
Me too..
Please check out k-rino also. Man is a lyrical genius.
U not getting what u asked for so stop being a nuisance 👌🏾
@@yungthorough thanks. 😑
We have free will. We dance with sin and expect no consequences. 😔
I had the exact same reaction as you Stervie. EXACT same
I would like to see Bizzle respond to this one like he did the first one real talk!!
To me it’s still a good song.. most artists can’t even put together a song this good. Comparing to first takes away from it. It’s not the same concept and he was not wishing death on anyone. Regardless great artist and well put together song that shows respect to those that passed and wishing better decisions were made in events that impacted lives.
I love when Joyner says "or maybe Chris could tell a different joke," Knight just responds "Fuck that' hahah @3:25
Knight keeps it real.
Felt like a woke devil's work remix
They both are the same to me this song seems like he back padding from the first one.
I feel like once you've heard one of these types of songs from Joyner Lucas, they all start to sound the same.
I knew you wasn’t gone like it soon as he called Candice owens on her bs 😭😂
I wonder what Bizzle going to respond. Looking forward to that.
Maybe the energy in pt. 2 wasn’t matched with pt.1 because Bizzle came and destroyed Joyner in his response track ? This wasn’t bad to me but after hearing Bizzle’s response to pt. 1 it’s completely unmatched now in my opinion 🤷🏽♀️
It sounds to me like this is the response to the first track Devils work, Bizzle remixed it talking from God's perspective...it's 🔥
Hoping Bizzle drops a #2 🙏
Amen to that!
Amen, because he still ain’t gettin it….doesn’t wanna take any accountability for sin. So it’s God’s fault? And the thing is there are people who would consider themselves saved and get hype for this trash content that is antithetical to a biblical anthropology of man and ultimately the rejection of our Holy God. Key word HOLY
Damn bro even gave condolences to sidhu that's awesome!
I've realized we do ourselves a disservice when we always comparing things. I rather just enjoy things for what they are. Like for movies very rarely do we say the sequel is better than the original. Plus Joyner took a different spin on this one. Those Kobe lines hit me
Sad to see that Joyner has allowed himself to be misled with propaganda. I like the track, it sounds cool but jesus is he seriously confused on some things.
I'm glad you said it. I feel like everyone was riding him on fb. Just wasn't the same, not the best energy. I knew we would get nothing but a real reaction from you. Love his first one, though. He was reaching on this one.
Reaching? 😂 u mean farther than u are rn about his own song? Ok 💀
I truly believe God took these amazing people away from a world full of hatred to live with him in eternal happiness.
I like the concept but yeah I won't have it on repeat. But I'm hoping that this album be like ADHD part 2 since Devil's Work part 1 was on ADHD. Nearly every song on that album was 🔥 in my opinion!
This one is just better than the first
For me if I have to put them in oder of favorite this is my least then followed by the orginal devil's work and number one for me was devil's work by Bizzle
Idk man I used to like Joyner but his point of view on certain things is just so out of this world
Steve I am with you on this one.
Evolution was my introduction to joyner. And am I glad. It was. Joyner a monster. Who deserves way more flowers than hes given
I liked your reaction, Stevie! You seemed sincere to me as someone who has watched you develop different perspectives on a number of topics that Joyner touched on. Art isn't downstream from culture, but it informs it. Oftentimes, it's in songs like these that artists lose their popularity when they inject their worldview. They always do a great job of subtly addressing subjects without taking sides. As a fan with a divergent viewpoint, I will feel attacked rather than entertained when they do that. Eventually, you lose interest in their art, and that's sad! It's even true with much of Hollywood, You watch a movie or a show these days and as fans, we are constantly being patronised and talked down on.
I can see you were uncomfortable with this song because he touched on some of the topics you covered that were totally opposite of your pov. I felt uncomfortable watching you! That's just how noticeable it was😳
…”different topic something jada won’t be mad about”
Me: FVCK THAT!
😂we said it same time
Yes you!
You tripping, this was hard! Idk what you expected hes literally speaking his mind and on the major topics. 1 and this one both in their own lane but its definitely hitting!
You want violence he explained in his opening line if you were listening he said he gonna do it different this time
The smartest people can sometimes be so ignorant.
Each to their own. I personally think this is far more mature and less hateful than devil's work. You should never wish death upon somebody because you're mad, especially if you're religious. You can really feel the pain in this song. I cant understand how people don't like it 🤷♂️
It's dope AF to me
Bro I love the shirt, is that part of the merch line up?
And anything Joyner puts out I’m happy with.
Nah this song is straight 🔥🔥🔥
New Coast contra
SN got turned off when JL was talking about Candice Owens 🤣
He doesn’t address the real issues - for a reason.
This is unusual for Joyner. I just put out a video addressing this on my channel.
If he is really TIRED of the endless MURDER and DEATHS within the Black Community; He would have done a BETTER Job.
4:04 that's exactly how I felt with that brittany griner line 😂😂
Bro he changed emotion so quick
Brittany Griner shit was bs and so was the Candice owens
"OK Let's see what are you are upset about today." ... Get comfy.
I wonder if Joyner heard Bizzles response to the first one and might’ve influenced how he came at this one. Nevertheless I loved it.
about time dang !!!
After what bizzle did to devil’s work? Nah bruh.
No where near the first Devil’s Work but it’s still heat, I just can’t wait until that “Not Now, I’m Busy” album drops 😮💨🙏
Me too bro can’t wait
3:30 yeah y'all m
I'm with you Stevie...💯😂😂
Joyner is really out here discussing the evil paradox within religion without realizing.
This had nothin to do with religion. Moreover it highlighted Joyners ignorance and fallacious thinking and perishing worldview that doesn’t exalt God in any way.
You had the same exact reaction as me stevie.. the first one is a bop and feels so much more passionate
He didn’t listen to Bizzle
@OFFICIAL_STEVIEKNIGHT..1 Thank you Fam!!!!
This just felt so forced. Like it was beating the race drum at the wrong time? I dunno the jada line, the Brittney greiner stuff, the George floyd stuff. It was either why are you bringing all that stuff back up or just flat out defending the bad side of the argument. Was weird. Failed the vibe check
That Jada line is a double in a since... 1. he's saying, "Say a joke Jada won't be mad about"
And 2, he's acknowledging that all this shit happened bc of Jad being mad.
Haha had the same reaction as you Stevie. Dont agree with alot of what he talking about in this one. Sound like he sleep and need to wake up. Sucks cuz im a fan of joyner but he lost me on this one. Bummer
This song tried to do something different but, it's essentially the same type of message, redo the timeline on some Kang shit. It's hard to outdo yourself when you knock it out the box like he did with DW1. I think he knew that. He doesn't have the surprise factor on DW2 that he had on DW1 so, he went a different route to get to the same spot on this one. I think I like DW2 more cause it's less about more people dying and trying to save more lives. The energy is different.
Quiet storm REMIX by DAX Is a must
Joyner Lucas fell off hard because he just went too far being corny and this is a prime example
Dawg your comment is corny. WTF 😂🤣
@@rigger49er how is it corny at all?
@@barry4649 you called this song corny as well as his latest music and your going to ask how is that corny? I irony has me dumbfounded. I think you need to relook at yourself
@@rigger49er what, so criticising terrible music is corny? Go figure
@@barry4649 you have to be able to quantify what you say. Or it’s just empty words and corny. Again the irony
It’s the same old shit why he die and he didn’t , nozzle answered him already
I was worried about this as I really dont care for sequel album/singles. Thought is was dope but not as strong as the 1st one.
I think it was a good encore to the first one. But i do think some of the ignorance in a few of the people he glorified that probably don't deserve the glorification threw salt on everything but there was some bar bars in there for sure
Will Bizzle return?!
You are right I was thinking the same the first one was way better
This message was so powerful, it knocked out my internet.
I think the reason this one was so tame was he got alot of hate as people saying he shouldn't be wish death on others and him blaming God. I wish he followed the trend for the first
Stevie Knight is a true one 😊😊😊
Aye Stevie if you ever find yourself in Del Mar I gotchu some free tickets at Cinepolis!
Kinda sad how there has to be a devils work 2 in the first place
Bizzle got some more work to do
I’ll always love joyner regardless if his point of view on some things are different from mines. To me this one wasn’t it. A lot of ifs or could’ve, should’ve, would’ve in this one. Gotta hold folks accountable because at the end of the day for every action, there is a reaction. If he really wants real answers he should dig deeper. He will then realize both of these songs were really the work of the devil. I still think joyner is top tier for sure. One of my favorite rappers today. Man is always bringin fire. Just missed me with this one. Bless up y’all
Devils work one is a classic
This is so so
rip to sidhu moose wala
I get what you mean to me it was pretty good but I do agree I feel like he should’ve tried topping the first one instead of just making a weaker version he still did his thing but it should’ve been a little stronger.
I actually agree, I was disappointed by this, it was super simple. Really the only bar that hit was the kanye portion.
Joyner has turned into a try-hard SJW.
He hasn't though
@@jasonrichardson1999 maybe not completely, but this is a step in that direction.
@@daddycj4109 tell me in what ways then
@@jasonrichardson1999 He's just mad about the Owen and Brittany thing lol.
@@jasonrichardson1999 I shouldn’t have to if you watched the video. Always calling back to SJW talking points.
Short reaction for this track bro
He talks about the trending topics dead rappers but I like the points he has on
I like the track. Can't fault the man for trying something different. Alot more important figures since the original has died so in his head that one didn't work. Maybe this one will
I agree 100% brother!!
Let’s keep it a stack… after he got his money, Joyner doesn’t have the same drive or hunger, and because of that, it has affected his work, doesn’t nearly have the same power he used to lead with… was this perfectly written to tell a story? Yea, and he for sure still has that in the bank, but that’s about it unfortunately, he lost everything else
feels more like shouting out recent deceased. Most of these death could have been prevented by the person themselves, but chooses to blame god instead is strange. Hope Bizzle does another song to this as God speaking again.
Jada said she was fine with "her bald self" a week before that slap so her and will can go drown their water works for all I care.
Bizzles response had him shook
"I know you don't make mistakes, but I was hoping you'd raise that bullshit so his family won't be left without him" That hurts deep man, damn...
The choosing of subjects was weak in most cases and also the number of subjects were pretty much that's one of the reasons for this one
cant wait for Bizzle to come back again this was a great song just love the back and forth, and the attack on Candice was in my opinion unwarranted also wish he would look into root causes of most of these issues I agree with Kobe but maybe address culture as a whole, good song but cant be on my list of his top hits.
Honestly i wasn't feeling this one
I wonder if bizzle will answer this one
If you wanna know how heaven works open the Bible
Re-creating a moment is never gonna go as well, but holding them to that same standard dont make any sense either
Joyner is Joyner
Legit greatness always 💯
Joyner just sold out
What are talking about?
Totally agree. Can’t believe more people don’t see this!
@@bryanrhoten4032 ,how ?
@@glen4037 They can't explain it, I'm sure it's about the Candace Owen thing is and Brittany Grinder.
@@dennysmarmartina It's because he showed that he doesn't have an original thought outside of what the propaganda has spewed.
D12 Album with Eminem. You should check out Devils Night and Revaluation off the D12 cds
Now it's that time people for God (Bizzle) to reply. What you think Stevie? If you know, you know.
