We need a build off with you and John vs cleet and jack stand
Definitely recommend using a synthetic sealant and not a wax. Typical wax has a low melting point so with the heat they will see, a wax wont hang around long. Yes use a polish to get the shine but a cleaner wax or standard carnuba is not going to be there after the first heat cycle. Adams Graphene Ceramic Spray Sealant would be perfect on the black anodizing.
See?! THANK YOU! Constructive, helpful comments. Appreciate you Alex!
oo hot tip

The old Moroso anodized steel valve covers looked like trash in no time when used on a street car. This is definitely a step up. Thanks for sharing.
I have a set of the anodized red moroso covers and polishing didn't work I had to literally take engine oil on a paper towel and then just wiped the covers down and they shined right up.
I love your tech tips !
Great content thanks for sharing
Thanks Doug 🤙🏼😈🤙🏼
Love tech tip Tuesday. Do fixing OEM computers and how to get rid of codes coming up all the time.

It also depends on the type of anodizing, hardcoat, type 3 or what not. Some cheap anodizing will literally burn off when trying to polish it, when that happens it's time to get the oven cleaner out and take all the anodizing off and then polish the aluminum to a chrome finish.
Hey how about some S-10 aluminum body bushings?

What's it look like after the part is heated from engine heat?
Looks hot.

Clear coat that sucker after you clean it. FTW then you just spray it with simple green and rinse 😆
Clear coat yourself, then spray yourself with Simple Green and rinse.

How about the fact that any black anodized anything turns gold in the sun…
no doubt what can we do ?
Wacks on…Wacks off.
Eh, brake clean and an old t shirt will get it!
That's the perfect way to mess up the clear

Easy off oven cleaner works great😂please don’t
Be careful applying it. I had shipmate/Friend who sprayed oven cleaner on engine without eye protection and it deflected back into his eyes. Even after taking "scenic route " to Hospital, his eyes were not permanently damaged..
