  • 2023 Beyond Celiac Community Summit Ask Me Anything panel, moderated by Kate Avery, MPH, Beyond Celiac Director of Research and Patient Engagement. In this informative session, we brought together prominent experts to address your questions on celiac disease and gluten-free living.
    The panel included:
    Alan Ehrlich, MD, a distinguished family physician who himself has celiac disease and who has extensive experience in celiac disease diagnosis and management.
    Ritu Verma, MD, a leading pediatric gastroenterologist dedicated to enhancing the lives of children with celiac disease. Two of Dr. Verma's three children have celiac disease.
    Eugenia Uche-Anya, MD, MPH, a public health advocate who discussed the broader impact of celiac disease, particularly within underserved communities.
    Sarah Yourman, RDN, CDCES, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, providing insights on nutrition and health in a gluten-free context. Sarah lives with cystic fibrosis, type 1 diabetes and crohn’s disease.
    During this AMA session, our panel covered a wide range of topics, from the latest developments in celiac disease research to practical advice for maintaining a gluten-free diet.
