It’s 2024 and I just watched 19 year old Toby Lee take the roof off my local venue in Grimsby, UK. He’s now a great singer as well as a world class guitar player. The real deal - and a lovely guy too
I have been to Memphis 3 times and always wrap the night up at BB's club great food great music great drinks and the heart of Beale st, Last time BB got up as the surprise guest that night. i was elbow deep into a rack of ribs dinner sitting at a solo table right next to the stage. omg i bout choked on my food when they announced it. BB blew the roof off the place best time ever at a music club anywhere in the world i have ever been. I know BB is smiling down from above knowing that a future super star is amongst us now
absolutely marvellous - after his appearance on Jools's Hoot of 2024/5 one hopes that he at last has the national recognition his exceptional talent deserves.
What great people allowing this to happen such a fantastic band and Singer giving a young lad of Ten years old a chance on the blues stage just amazing.
It was nice for them to let him get up and play, and I am fully convinced that they realized that this boy is an unbelievable guitarist with a great future ahead of him. Now he's 14 years old and even better than he played here which was amazing for a 10 year old!

I've seen him everywhere playing with several well-known artists. Music is all he does. He lives for it and loves it. Hit up one of his gigs sometime it's very entertaining! A true showman! You can watch him on UA-cam, Facebook, Twitter. A cool kid!

A long way.. and tell the kid the way he is starting leads usually to a bad fall. Not everybody recovers. Now i got my shit to work on a and i shouldn t be arguing about toby aged whatever. Will he say he is toby aged 35 when he is 40?

Keep looking for Toby on Spotify, just watchin’ the boy grow into what will be the greatest blues man around. Just pray he doesn’t fall victim to the many people and things that can damage his talent or that just doesn’t get tired of it all. What a kid, seems so deferential.
I saw Toby on Little big shots and he is truly amazing and can play he does have a positive future I do hope that he still has the chance to be a kid as well. Let him be the kid that he is as he grows up let it be his decision to continue to keep playing.

I used to work on Beale Street, at ten this kid was a better guitar player than most guys you see on that strip.The main reason is because most of the players seem to think lightning speed is synonymous with good or great and they turn almost every song into a blues burn. After years of practice and gigging , they end up sounding like a four year old child that got a shiny new hammer for their birthday.

The guitar is a replica of B.B.kings Lucille that was made. Don't know if they are still making those tribute copys of Lucille for people to buy new now. But I've seen used ones online for sale with Lucille on the headstock.
talking of school uniforms... that's how he makes his money at home in england, he starred in school of rock on stage, he's the young kid who plays guitar in the guys class, obvs. and for that part you need to be a beast on the guitar at a young age which is how he got the part (and he can act too), he's a super talented musical theatre kid 😁

That is just incredible. A ten-year-old kid with that much feeling for the blues and the skill to express it though such amazing guitar playing.
