No but after filling with coolant you need to spend some time with open cap or a dedicated air bleeder on your coolant system to get the air out if it has one not all cars have that.
@@johnworley34 not sure what plug you talking about I assume the one on the thermostat basically the temperature sensor plug ? I in most cases use pics to avoid breaking electrical plug connectors.
